Couldn't close it out. Tough way to lose after we found ourselves with a 6 point lead with four(ish) minutes to play.

A few quick points:
1) multiple people have said it already, but it needs to be said again: why isn't Powell getting essentially all of Bailey's minutes? Neither are particularly good defenders but Powell is clearly a better offensive player.
2) Alabama should thank their lucky stars we were short handed. With Fulky and Chandler, we win by double digits. That's the way it goes, though. At some point this season we will probably beat a team missing a couple of guys due to covid.
3)Final two possessions aside, Zeigler played a really good game tonight on both ends of the floor. Quinnerly is a tough matchup and ZZ didn't back down for a second.
4) JJJ had one of those nights shooting the basketball. He brings a lot to the table in terms of defense, passing, and rebounding, but his inconsistent shooting continues to hold us back. You would like to be able to rely on an experienced third year player to go get some baskets in a game like this.

It would have been better to be blown out.

Instead we lead in the first half by 10 only to let up and give them a 10-0 run to close.

Then we lead the entire second half and collapse in the final two minutes again.
They’re Alabama and we’re Tennessee. Presently and historically inferior to the Tide in athletics.

Also JJJ shot 8 shots, 7 were 3s.

He’s a 5 star guard in year 3 and 6’6” 200lbs+ why doesn’t he attack the rim more?

He actually gave us next to nothing tonight, just 3 rebounds, 3 points & 1 steal. Powell, Mashack, & BHH all were more productive with less minutes.

This is what he’s always been. He slows down the offense and is the least aggressive player I’ve ever scene which was ranked that high.

He had a chance to put the game away at the end of the game. We were up by 5 and had chances to go up by 10 when Bama wasn't hitting anything but we just for whatever reason can hit clutch shots. Its frustrating not to be able to put away teams. Killer instinct.

Not defending or disagreeing just wondering if CB see's a whole different Bailey in practice? Just a thought.

Olivier, James, & Bailey all had 0 TOs, he’s basketball’s version of a “ball control” coach. He’ll leave guys on the court just for not turning it over.

But ultimately we lost because we didn’t move the ball well, 10 assists for the game is awful.

Travelling hasn't been called since MJ played.

Not really…it’s been allowed much more the last 5-7 years. Just google videos of traveling in the NBA. Corey Brewer takes 7 steps without dribbling.

Bama travels a lot as Herb Jones did last year too.

For those wondering about Barnes and his playing time distribution just remember it all begins with defense in his mind and who he trusts to execute. As for having one guy in during a clutch moment of offense I've got nothing, can't explain it.
