Fans have less influence than ever before. The SEC money diminishes what percentage of revenue seats in the stadium make. There's a reason they're cutting stadium capacity. If you've looked at the last few years we all said "if this coach doesn't make it, Neyland will be empty". Was it? Sure attendance was down but there was still a lot of fans in there. You get a team that consistently wins 8-9 games a year, they'll be plenty of butts in the seats. At some point, they'll start to lose the fanbase if they are not careful. If they don't care, fans will eventually stop caring and lose interest. Neyland will stop seeing sell-out crowds.
So what we want about Rusty but he actually knows things. He is often at a recruits HS when he knows coaches are visiting etc. Our guys are nearly worthless. They were stuck at home in Covid protocol before there was Covid…. Tapping keystrokes and stuttering responses in indefinite fashion as always….
UhhhhFrom what I am reading here is UT plans on not recruiting big time players and not really wanting to invest in the NIL game and they are just going to surrender trying to win championships and expect fans to play along? Never mind that they want you to pay these outrageous season ticket prices now and be happy with 8,9 win seasons. Does anybody know for sure what the plans are for NILs or is it all just speculation ?
so do we suck again or are we back? I need to know so I can decide which way I need to steer my emotionsThere is a plan and everything is going according to it.![]()
So your saying we have a chance ? lolUhhhh
They announced an nil for a signed player today.
So I’m going with speculation
edit: 5 posts above. Lol
This is a huge part of it. TV revenue is so good right now. There's no reason to try when youll still get paid regardlessFans have less influence than ever before. But he's doing it the "right" way. The AD is perfectly OK with his results given the way he runs the program. Maybe he'll shock us and make a final 4 in the near future.Last post for tonight. The thing about Barnes is his teams have a ceiling and hes shown that, dont hate on me for this one its not a knock on him for once, his teams are fine but never gonna win the big one.
Personally have not seen a figure that hige but in any case, I am very much looking forward to the upper deck addition. Appears to be similar to TA&M's where my son and I watched the almost victory from.Theyre already taking out 20k seats, that tells enough of the story right there. They dont expect to be able to sell out what they had.
Neither White nor Tennessee have revealed how the changes will impact the official figure for Neyland Stadium's capacity, which is currently 102,455
I cannot help but have a negative outlook on the viability of CFB. It just seems like the beginning to the end unfortunately.
That’s a betta fishkind of a cool complimentView attachment 425726
