Sounds like we will never see a national championship in football ever again in this landscape. Maybe we’ll have a chance in @Ulysees E. McGill’s 124-team invitational college football playoff that starts in May.![]()
Right now yes, but he's getting his school, housing etc paid for right now. I'm talking about investing that money now. That is not generational money. To be set, you can hardly retire with $2 million, much less at 20 years old. After taxes, that’s roughly 1.4 anyway and even less if he decides to go to Cali.
we can get this done lolIt may be just me and you left watching View attachment 425745
But does UT leadership value winning? I get it. They want to do things a certain way. But do they care whether or not we win while doing it that way? Will we step up and pay certain players, or are we unwilling to take any players that want big money deals?None of this is new. UT has been saying it all year, and I've mentioned it several times. UTAD, every person in admin, every coach in every sport talks about it, and it's a talking point in interviews and presentations. UT has dismissed valuable players with academic and character issues-- this year in FB, but for several years now in other sports. Key players on other WBB teams were dismissed from or pushed out of UT and are starters at other programs. Academic clauses are in coach's contracts, along with academic bonuses. UT wants a strong culture and strong teams-- no arrests, no embarrassment, no drama and SAs repping the school with pride and graduating with a degree.
The right coaches can win at UT. They have the resources and are being given what they have asked UT to provide. But it has to be people who can work within the system UT has set and recruit SAs who can thrive and excel in that environment. UT leadership has set a path, they feel it's the right one and they believe they have the right coaches in place. Time will tell.
I thought I've seen it mentioned on here that it was going to be around that number. Honestly I couldn't care less about that, just give me seats. Tix prices for bigger games will go up because of this as well.Personally have not seen a figure that hige but in any case, I am very much looking forward to the upper deck addition. Appears to be similar to TA&M's where my son and I watched the almost victory from.

Can't be...apparently to some on here our NiL deals consists of memberships to the jelly of the month club.@Bruce Wayne nailed this one. Must of been a good deal since Auburn was in the running. We all know what they are capable of.

lmao
What's actually been said is we're not willing to compete with the top-tier teams when it comes to NIL deals, and LA seems to be confirming that. That means we're behind when compared to these schools. It doesn't mean we have no NIL deals, or that we "suck at them", but it's becoming more obvious that we're not going to float the big money NIL deals that other teams' boosters are to get players.
