Yeah its a hybrid of Monterrey cypress and Alaska cedar. Susceptible to several pathogenic funguses. Not a screen I'd expect to live 15+ years, but will grow fast and block the view until more slow-growing plants can take over. Or the neighbor dies. Or he moves lol

Shiii im the #1 Dad in this house.

Leland cypress. They grow unbelievably fast

These get very wide at the base too. I’m not a fan because of that.

Depending on how much of a screen you need, you might look into emerald green arbor vitae. They grow tall, but don’t take up as much space at the base.

Whatever you do don’t plant weeping privet. It’s super invasive. Other than having to deal with it it’s almost perfect for what your needing.

Privet is the worst. And I think it’s the hedge in Athens.

Plant bamboo in containers. It grows tall thick and fast. Do NOT plant it in the ground. It will get away from you in a hurry.
