IMO, FM’s decision to go to Miami had more to due with Miami’s staff than Sprye. Vols swung for the fences, but were always playing catch up. If Miami’s staff was still at Oregon, he would have been a Duck long ago.
We are still in on some very good OL prospects. Recruiting is still fluid. It is still a long way to December.

Miami is buying the players and they are not waiting to prove anything on the field.

Was just about to reply with the same thing. Nobody has to prove it on the field but UT apparently. Not Miami, Texas, Texas AM or USC. They just buy them and we should be doing the same.

Ruiz probably gave FM guaranteed money which will help his entire family move to the states, and he was already familiar with Cristobal's staff from Oregon.

Not gonna lie that one hurts, because he could've been a huge piece and we felt confident.

Echols is a nice way to soften the blow.

Who knows, maybe before signing day we can rip the rug out from under Ruiz and give the Mauigoas an offer they can't refuse.
