"That'd be like... $5/month! It's just a dam dog!"Buddy nobody is making anybody do anything and you know that…what is your argument? Are you really mad ppl are trying to get ppl to join our NIL so that we can putt better offers out there potentially to recruits….what a weird hill to die on for a supposed Tennessee fan
Well said again nobody is totally blaming fans here but having only 700 members signed up for our NIL is not great, we could do so much better as a fanbaseYou pay for cable merely for UT games? And little of the listed expenses besides parking and tickets goes to the University.
But yes. You basically get the product for free. You could turn on your cable TV that is a monthly expense you pay for all of your television entertainment, and watch for free.
Folks come on a free internet board, make usernames that infer undying love and loyalty to the program...
"Hey. You could actively help the program you love so much with $5/month."
"Hell no! That's their job! They suck! They haven't done anything for me in 15 years and they ain't getting **** from me until they're good!"
Reminds me of the country neighbors I've had no matter where I've lived.
"That there is our dog Old Blue. Had him since he was a pup. Best dog I ever did have. Love him! He's family!"
"You should probably take him to the vet every one in a while, or at least put him on monthly heart worm preventatives."
"You crazy?! That'd be like... $10/month! It's just a damn dog!"
Oh... OK. Carry on.
It’s the salary cap in the NFL. If someone wants to severely overpay for someone there’s nothing you can really do. The market will always correct itself. Ruiz can throw money around all he wants because he has plenty to blow but even he will see that his return won’t be that great when Cristobal underachieves and their underwhelming fan base doesn’t care what players are sponsoring. If you can get 1 OT that you really want for 4 million, but can get 3 others nearly as good for the same combined price, which do you go with? I am guessing it's a budget decision, trying to get the best possible with the funds available.
No, but its added on into the pricing, plus UT gets a percentage of that payout. Every time ESPN acquires a new network their pricing goes up Bowl games, games in general etc.... Schools get a cut of that pricing. According to this right now each school gets about 54.6 million in revenue in contracts, and those numbers are bound to go up as expansion and new contracts come out. Pardon me if I dont feel sorry for the schools and just ask for them to invest in their own product themselves. You pay for cable merely for UT games? SEC Announces Revenue Distribution - ESPN 98.1 FM - 850 AM WRUF.
I think that is what they are hinting at. Your not a real fan if you do not donate.
