I get it...I would never ask someone for something they don't have, or barely have. However, MORE money and NIL is today's reality, whether it's supported or not.

I would feel better if the Will guy would tell us how much they are short. I also, don’t like hearing that hundred millionaires and billionaires within the fan base are tapped out. Funds are not being allocated properly if that is the case.

If Seldon and Umarov commit to UT this week, that article is going to look even dumber than it already does. It's also laughable that it says a flurry of five star and four star recruits have followed Arch to Texas when many of their new commits are three star guys and in-state players that were likely headed to Texas anyways. Typical KNS bulls***, and I believe the writer is a former Vandy guy.
It’s ridiculous! Were they not full of doom last year that Tennessee would have a losing record and recruiting would be horrible? So there’s two ways to spin this. The way they have. And… Despite last year’s predictions for Tennessee, they had a winning record, played better than most expected, had some exciting games and an exciting offense, and are doing far better in recruiting than we thought this time last year. I mean how many this time last year would have thought that we would be in it for 3 5* players…get one…finish a very close 2nd for the other 2??? If you look at it that way we are doing phenomenal. It’s all about the spin, and Tennessee media always spins it the worst way possible for the Vols. So does the national media. 😡

Like most of the big money donors, the Ergens provide a lot of support to academics. Charlie is notoriously frugal, but he and his wife fund athletic facilities and provide professorships, endowments and scholarships to the Haslam College of Business. Jimmy and Dee Haslam are very active and established in their community in Ohio, but they have been generous in supporting facilities improvements at UT and have donated tens of millions to fund new business facilities, establish programs and provide endowed scholarships. Min Kao has donated $20+ million to academics to fund a new engineering building, scholarships and endowments.

Larry Pratt is lead donor for LNS renovations and has pledged $5 million to that, plus millions more to Neyland, TBA and Pratt Pavilion renos. Charlie Anderson has funded upgrades to the Anderson Training Center and others. Other donors have pledged a million or more to facility renos and endowments.

UT has many buckets to fill. A lot of donations go to academics and facilities—by request. UT is renovating all sports and training facilities, costs are escalating, renos are over budget, and it's costing hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars. Donors at all levels are being tapped again and again-- and some are tapped out.
Where is Peyton in all of this?

Yep. Imagine if Stoops took over as TN coach. He would have been canned in year 3. This whole thing about firing every 3-4 years is one of the big reasons why we are where we are. At no some point we have to give a coach a real chance to rebuild.
Sam Pittman and Lane Kiffin have shown it doesn’t take 5 years to rebuild a respectable program. With the way the transfer portal allows coaches to do an almost complete overhaul of a roster in 2 years if a coach can’t reach 10 regular season wins by year 3 or 4 it’s never going to happen

uh, we just finished year 1, where, by all rights, were a couple of freaking bad calls away from a 9 win season.

let's not put the cart before the horse yet. year 2 has a good bit returning, including most of the o line, QB, top receiver.....etc. defense just needs to get better...doens't have to be elite, just better.

schedule lines up pretty well and there's certainly a possibility of winning 8+ games THIS year.

cant' even get to the point of discussing the merits of keeping this staff after year 3 yet.
