Personally, I would have rather just paid his buyout and saved the reputation of the school. But OK, I guess.

I don’t doubt he may have. The question remains though, why would he let it tank the way it has this season?

I find it hard to convince myself that after the UGA loss we couldn’t have still made a bowl game with in interim, avoided such negative press and ended this season trending upward announcing the new coach.

This though leads be back into a circle like a dog chasing its tail. It also isn’t hard to believe the worst possible scenario concerning Currie.

This has gotten nasty. Butch is losing all credit that he earned by the day.

I think this is a case where the AD is trying to damage Butch, but why? If he wanted to mitigate the buyout he'd want butch to appear as good as possible. This is strange. I don't think he's trying to eliminate the buyout but may be trying to further negotiate it down.

When it first became clear to me that he was going to get fired, I was appreciative of the job he had done and was just ready for him to go. As time goes on, I'm just kinda like man he did a lousy job here. Good riddance would be an understatement.

He's taking a lot of $#1+ for not pulling the plug at the present and a lot of people are ready to fire him just for that.

Ive given him the benefit of the doubt to this point, because its not about when he fires Jones to me but who he is able to hook. If he's letting the storm come back for another pass he better have an ace in his pocket or the venom that Jones is receiving will turn to him in short order.

Ive heard things are different this time than before. We will soon see.
