vol twitter is one of the most embarrassing things in sports.
I think the silence is deafening on Butch from the players. I don't see them rallying for him. I think he's run his course with them or we would hear more support from them for him.
It's not just us. Some account associated with the Dodgers sent out a tweet minutes after game 7 ended last week. I noticed that it already had nearly 200 comments after about 5 minutes. The vitriol was strong. Nothing positive. Bashing players. Bashing Roberts.
It's not just us.
Ok. Not following what that has to do with fans acting a fool
Yeah, after losing the WS game 7 you're going to have fans go all in on the negative.
We have the same thing on a random Tuesday in the month April.
Ok. Ill connect the dots for you. Fans are acting a fool because they have zero faith in our AD to pull us out of this decade of mediocrity. The fans are tired of the program being the laughing stock, not only of the conference, but of college football.
We are known perpetually as the fan base that says next year is our year. We rally behind no name coaches that get hired in the hopes that they pan out.
Before you get to the winning at a high level consistently is hard argument, I can name at least 20+ programs who do every year.
Our fans are living the definition of insanity from the AD. Hire up and comer, rally behind them, fire coach, look for next up and comer. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Meanwhile the Bamas, tOSUs, the Clemsons, the Penn States (who just exited from the freaking death penalty), the Wisconsins (really), and about 15 other programs consistently enjoy more success. And our fans shouldnt be pissed off? Shouldnt be delusional hoping that for once the AD doesnt screw it up?
Get over yourself.

Fair enough but most vol fans are simply impossible to please.

Most is inaccurate. Listen to Bama fans who are very much the same. It is a vocal FEW. However, the last decade has been so comical the number of true dedicated and passionate fans have wandered close to the line of apathy. Then you see SATURDAY night. This fan base as a whole should be applauded not taken for granted. So far no poison trees. With the comment of most being impossible to please may mean you have been around the complex too long.![]()
