Sums it up perfectly :hi:Bro, our agenda is to score a lot of points. Based on his body of work, which is the only thing you can really base anything on, most of us are not encouraged with the potential hire.
Seemingly worse, Tennessee is a pretty hot coaching destination now, given recent recruiting and improvement. It appears we could hire an OC with more OC success, given reports.
Admittedly, none of us know enough about football to make these hires, and there are other issues (staff dynamics, position coaching, salaries, philosophy).
That being said, I'm just not impressed, and will gladly accept being wrong. Bring on the yards :hi:
-Brice
Truth right there... The way that was written by Brice tells me all I need to know. DeBord has a job, exactly what job and what responsibilities remain to be seen.
That's what I was thinking. What tells me the story is The fact they have all this info on debord, he's been here two days meeting players and all they can say about other candidates is that they are sure he's vetting them. Yet they have no other names. Butch has his guy unfortunately.
The public perception is meaningless. People will ***** and moan, and then they'll get over it. Having Dobbs speak does sound strange unless this guy changed his life in the past 48 hours or something though.
Has not coached within the past 3 years.
Does not run a similar style offense.
Has not been an OC within the past 6 years.
Is not known to be a good recruiter.
Is this accurate?
