People keep telling me that they gifted us the game. Bull. Both fumbles were forced. Those aren't gifts, those are defensive plays. Kelly was an animal that could not be stopped. That isn't a gift. Callaway balled last night, they couldn't cover him. Dormady made some clutch throws as well. And when it was on the line, our defense, especially Taylor, made the stop when we hadn't stopped them all night. That isn't a gift. That is a hard fought, come from behind, earned victory. We got the W. We earned it.
As to Shoop, as embarrassing as that was last night, I will reserve judgment until I see him go through the next few games. I think he had a plan for GT and it was a complete disaster and had no plan b. I give him a pass on the last few games last year, he was out of ammo. The D sucks this year, he's a not ready for primetime player.

Not ready for primetime? This is getting stupid to me. Bob Shoop has proven himself over several years at different programs (since when is Penn St not primetime?) The guy may not be as great a savant as we thought, but he has PROVEN that he is competent. The answer to our defensive problems has to be more complex than just "Bob Snoop sucks

I'm a little behind from last football talk thread but all this we didn't win they lost/ we didn't deserve to win talk is CRAP. If your team has more points at the end of the game then you did what you had to to deserve the win. Unless you cheated or the referees missed/made calls that were obviously unfair, then a win is earned. Stop negating what this team and coaches did and get behind them. I'd take a game like that every time if we were on top at the buzzer.

We need the like button back. I feel like I'm posting straight gold lately and I have nothing to show for it
Go watch the Paul Bain post game interview if you want some feel good.... he gets Rod Wilkes jokes here, but that video will make anyone a big fan
Ironically, Georgia Techs style of play is designed to place an emphasis on execution, and it was Tennessees young team that proved better prepared late in the game.
The Vols didnt turn the ball over, dominated the special teams element and proved to be the better-conditioned team by avoiding mental breakdowns in the fourth quarter and overtime.
