I think our fan base is one of the most committed in all of sports, I also think a vast portion of our fanbase needs to be committed..We have got to be the worst at self flagellation in all of football. It is insane. I have never seen so many fans hate on their team like we do. We win an exhilarating game, and all anybody can do is gripe about how we won, some are nearly apologetic to GT that we "stole" this game.

This is rediculous, we are rediculous, I will include myself because I am also guilty. Butch Jones and this team do not embarrass me or us..We do a excellent job of doing that.

Maybe I have too much Tennessee in me but I actually buy a lot of this. Whoever was responsible for scheduling Georgia Tech needs to be punched in the mouth. Very little good can come from playing that game while a whole lot of bad can come out of it. Jumper still concerns me a great deal, mainly when he will be forced to cover. Gonna try to withhold judgement on this defense until after the Florida game.

It worked out because we won, but it was absolutely stupid to schedule the game.

VQ hinted that the game was scheduled in large part due to UT brass thinking Paul Johnson would be fired by the time the game was played, but it was actually announced in July 2015--right after GT had gone 11-3 and before they had their 3-9 season just a few months later.

So we willingly scheduled a triple-option team that finished No. 8 in the nation.

I know facts are frowned upon in here but I just did a quick search of all current SEC head coaches and their number of conference titles. The debate is often whether or not Butch can successful coach/develop players. Here's what I found:

1. Saban 9 conference titles in his head career

2. Butch 4

3. Bielema 3

4. Malzhan 2

5. Freeze 2

Every other current head SEC Coach with 0.

Context. How many are P5 titles?

Rewatching game. It appears tape is sped up every time John Kelly has the ball. He is the fastest running back I've seen at Tennessee and has a viscous mean streak.

Callaway is a monster and fitting to be wearing #1.

If A QB can emerge as elite we will have a devastating offense.

One outright.

Well then, I expect/hope we lose in horrendous fashion. :)

My favorite new player is Trey Smith. OL with a very mean streak. After a while opposing players just wanted to stay away from him. Bad A$$ I was disappointed to see Chandler only get 1 running play, but looked good that 1 play. I want to see more.

Well? Have to wonder...

Please don't get me started. I've only been saying it since he first arrived on campus. I cannot fathom the thought process that thinks he cannot be a huge asset on O all of the time versus the real world of him being a non-asset all of the time on D.

I think the debate is whether or not Butch can win an SEC title at Tennessee.

While previous conference titles are nice resume padders, can he win one at this level?

Haven't seen anything that says he can, yet. Which is troublesome in year 5.

Hearing every GT player and coach say they should have won has gotten old. No, they shouldn't have won. They shouldn't have gotten that close to winning. UT was always the more talented team. The more talented team usually finds a way to win. And we did.
