yes! I want the starters to establish the game, then let the backups play for real. I don't want us just sitting on the game once we see we have it, need to let the boys get good experience and confidence. Wouldn't mind for JG to play at least 3/4 of the game.

I'd like to see that too. Butch and the coaches know JG has the talent, let's see what he can do with live reps. Let QD start and get some reps and then let JG get the bulk of the game.

People saying Stars don't matter need to look at our best players yesterday. Outside of Kelly and Bituli the others were highly rated and played the part. Callaway, Trey Smith, Warrior and Darrell Taylor were all 4 star or better. All this sleeper talk is over with. Recruit the difference makers and be done with it. LB, DT and DB should be the main position we are loading up at. Help is needed and in a hurry.

Hoke as replacement? Good lord...

Yeah would be the dumbest decision ever. He is like Sal. Great position coach and recruiter but awful coordinator. Warren is the inhouse candidate with D.C. Potential. Not really sure why he isn't one now. Was good at Air Force

How about we all.pump the brakes on the fire coach bull****. That's a tough offense, we won and the guys were flying around at the beginning playing lights out with no help from the offense. Let's see what happens in Gainesville and against uga.

Ok. Turn it over to Warren then. Doesn't matter to me. Shoop is just out of mulligans.

I think you misunderstand Butch Ball. It's kind of like "rope-a-dope." Requires the opposing teams to gain at least 500 yards in any given game.

I feel like we took the Ali approach when he faced Foreman. We took it and took it and took it all game, and to everyone else (including me), we seemed out of it. Then, when it mattered most, we took our shots and KO'd them.

Well. I thought I had had an original idea. Then I found this.

I would assume that they are always trying to recruit the best available to us. You say this like they are actively avoiding the best talent available (to us).

17 true freshmen played for LSU this past week and not one of them was Jacoby Stevens. They also moved him from safety to wide receiver because he got beat out by two other freshmen. I called it pretty early that we weren't missing anything when this kid committed to LSU. Theo Jackson was the better in-state prospect.

This was a huge miss by the recruiting services as I said one year ago.

awesome.

Hearing every GT player and coach say they should have won has gotten old. No, they shouldn't have won. They shouldn't have gotten that close to winning. UT was always the more talented team. The more talented team usually finds a way to win. And we did.

What they really mean is that they wish they'd won.

Beat Syracuse by 1 point in '98 to start the year. People were kind of upset about that for a minute.

Bruin come at me bro

😁 Sorry didn't know it had bad words in it

I can get a little negative during games (it's how I cope, honestly), but I'll never understand not enjoying a win. It's always better to win than lose in literally every situation. I've agonized over so many close losses for the Vols, thinking if just this thing or that thing had happened, we'd have won that game. But we didn't win and thinking about it just made me upset. I hate that feeling and I'm not going to let it infect me after we've won.

Yeah, everything could go to crap. But everything could always go to crap for any team. Everything could also go really well, too, which is probably just as likely as the floor falling out. I want to see how it plays out. App State took us to overtime and then we whooped up on Virginia Tech the next week. Florida had an 18-point lead at halftime until we ran off 38 straight on those fools. It's WAYYYYY too early to be freaking out this much over a win.

Having said ALL OF THAT... if we lose to Florida in a little under two weeks, it's gonna be FAHRIN' time. I forgave Butch for 2014 and 2015 -- I'm a big enough person to take the high road there. But if we lose this year, we have to FAHR someone for sure just to appease the football gods. A modern sacrifice, if you will.

Good thing is, with the exception of LB, we are loading up there in this next class. Don't know what is up with LB recruiting though.

This is super selfish but I hope hurricane Irma forces UF to cancel or postpone their game with Northern Colorado.
