So Butch's contract runs through 2020. It seems as though an extension would need to happen after this season to show support and avoid negative recruiting. I think he's either extended after the season and here for a while or Currie goes in a different direction. I don't think you can go into next year without addressing the contract.
Ok...but far from being THE ONLY CHOICE. Think Currie will recognize that mentality? :wink2:
I agree we should have beat them but it didn't happen. What was your win/loss prediction for the year? We all knew Florida was who they were all off season. Decent to good defense no offense. That game didn't show me any difference. We haven't beaten fl in Gainesville in 16 years I undervalued that. That monkey is still hanging on our back.
I thought 8-4 to 9-3 which is still in the cards. All depends on Georgia and the rest of the east.
I can buy that.
With how much heat coach thig has gotten the lb play has improved. I think we def have some nice players with Quarte coming around the emergence of Bituli and hopefully Smith get healthy. Jumper is what he is and I think would be a great backup if the young guys can take the next step.
Absolutely. Looking like a bad hire. Dormady looks as bad or worse than last year or freshman year. JG is a highly touted guy who has looked like crap in limited action.
He double clutched which would possibly explain the wrong route distance. Probably threw the pass a little harder to try and force it in and sailed it.

That's right. Currie wouldn't extend him after an 8-4 season last fall so I doubt he extends him with anything less than 9 wins this fall. Win the East or it's time for a new coach, IMO.
After your first sentence, the rest of the post is irrelevant. Winning against a s*it team shouldn't be difficult even if it is on the road. Even if the losses from the past hurt to think about. In the present year, one team was vastly more talented, had actually gotten time to practice without being interrupted by a hurricane, and didn't have 10 players suspended for credit card fraud. That team has no excuses to lose.
LWS has made it sound like a loss to KY or Vandy will constitute a change. If we lose to UGA in a week and are sitting at 3-2 going into the bye week the SC becomes HUGE. He loses that and its 3-4 after Bama and struggling to make a bowl. If we're 3-4 after Bama I could see an interim to finish out the season.
The timing of a lot of plays is off. It's why we need to play our starters longer than most want to admit this week. They must get into a rhythm. Playing JG early in the IS game was a bad move

So on a play that we needed 10+ yards to convert on 3rd down, the play was actually supposed to be 4 yards shorter and Dormady still threw it 9 1/2 feet high at the 9 yard spot?
I still feel the same. 50/50 shared responsibility. It was a bad pass and a tough catch.
