I agreed with him saying he would be OK with winning 8 games this season. I remember reading back in the spring that we would be replacing 90% of our offensive production this season, which I noted in an earlier post. And because we were cardiac kids in so many games last season, QD got very few meaningful snaps. And despite JJ being an Alpha dog, we were still returning very little production at WR. And then lose him and we are bringing in young receivers who likely didn't get nearbas many first team reps with QD as JJ and Call away did. So I felt like with playing Bama, UF away, UGA expected to be tough, and LSU coming on the schedule, more than 8 will be tough. But can be done. LSU we saw has there own problems. We know UGA has a ton of talent, but we will get a better feel for how good of a football team they are this Saturday hosting MSU. Bama is the only certain loss I see right now. Our pass/catch game Hasbro come together in a hurry. QD has to he smarter when he is pressured, and young receivers, and even veterans, have to run crisper routes. We know they are being taught. We have watched the practice videos with Coach Beard. And receivers have to start making those catches when they are open. This can still be a great season, but these guys have to take their game up a notch immediately. They have the talent and skills. Man up.
Slightly off topic, but VFL Lee Jenkins is running for mayor of Roswell, GA where I live. He has had a successful career as an investment banker and now is pastoring a church. If interested, you can check out his story on www.voteleejenkins.com.
Poor management would be bringing him back and not giving him an extension. Would be starving out your own program.
We've got the money to fire him and we've got the money to bring him back and give him an extension.
The absolute worst thing we can do is allow him to be a lame duck coach.
Quarte Sapp said he talked to JRM for an hour on Sunday. Said he talks with JRM often and most of what he knows about playing WILL linebacker he's learned and learning from JRM. JRM coaching him from afar.
Saddling the AD with a $2+ million obligation to avoid the perceived possibility of a one-time, unquantifiable but marginal impact on recruiting is asinine.
It didn't hurt LSU in 2016 when Miles was all but fired the last week of the season and then the administration changed their minds at halftime of his last game. They were literally giving the man a standing ovation sendoff and he tips his cap in farewell. Still pulled the #2 class in the nation.
It's also already going to happen. The media is going to be saying he's on the hot seat. Everybody would know he's coaching for his job regardless of how many years are left. At best, its window dressing, and those are some expensive ****ing curtains.
Also, if he's selling kids on coming to play for Butch Jones, we've got bigger problems than perceived instability. The man splooges his pants at the end of big games. You think kids are coming here to play for him?
He knows he's not going to be here in 4 years, we know he's not going to be here in 4 years, because he hasn't earned it.
You're advocating giving away free money.
Please resist the urge to go full blown retard over this loss. The Jethro moron mafia is out in full force. How bout we play another game or two....... and see how the season goes before we bury our coaches
Or does that make too much freaking sense for some of you idiots?
