I hope he wins out and becomes the next Dabo type coach. However if he doesnt, the key to this story is unlikely AD John Currie is thinking that way right now Lose to Vandy and Kentucky and thinking will change.

Eazy it was good to see you posting again yesterday! You seem pretty confident in Currie, are you confident in the admin this time around to not screw it up?

And isn't Tennessee the second richest athletic department as of last year? Jimmy talks like we are back in post Hamilton times.

Also it's $2.5 not 2. Jimmy got that wrong. And didn't mention that salary at his next job would offset buyout. As I'm sure it would with assistants.

I have no reason to doubt you. It's obviously been amended from the version that was posted here. I haven't seen the new version and in my experience the media usually puts the story ahead of the facts when it comes to legal issues.

Apparently Umass can throw the ball so I am interested to see if we still play that soft cushion on one side of the field. We need to see a ferocious pass rush as that will definitely be needed for the dawgs.

Take it to the game thread. This is the coaching assessment/speculation thread.

I linked it yesterday. So did Darth.

Arkansas Rumor Mill just exploded that Arkansas starting running back is out indefinitely with a broken jaw from a fight with a teammate

Well, I think that covers all of the compelling discussion about UMass.

after watching this game again... Jack Jones had MEs that really hurt the offense. He didn't have a good game.

Jack Jones is overrated. Boulware or Thomas should have played after first quarter. If we want to criticize staff this is where to begin.

Did you watch the Mercer game? They were in legitimate danger of losing until late. They're not a good team at all.

Apparently you didn't. They held them to under 15 first downs and 250 yards. 3 points, 140 yards until the 4th quarter. It was the 5 turnovers that killed them and then defense gave up a long td in the 4th because their offense couldn't stay on the field. He said nothing about overall team. He said defense.

15 first downs and 250 yards in 3 quarters against Mercer is not elite. Their offense is awful. They are not a great team, in fact they're borderline bad. Their decent defense brings them up to average.

And the OP was about auburn, not the auburn defense.
