That's what I'm wondering. Unless Dormady still looks terrible, throwing off his back foot, I wouldn't think JG can win the job no matter what. But our fans would be upset I bet. I bet Dormady looks great Saturday, he has always looked great against scrubs like this

A two QB system can work if managed properly I think. Thing that concerns me about Dormady is mainly how he seems to lock in on his receivers too much. Last thing we need though is an Ainge/Clausen type of deal. It'll be interesting.

I'm not sure equipment managers/staff are really qualified to give a definitive answer on how good a coach is or not. I mean sure, they're out there for practices, but they've got jobs they've gotta focus on. It's not like they're taking in and critiquing a staffs approach or anything.

And then there's the fact that a great deal of coaching and preparation is done in meeting/film rooms, not on the practice field.

So?..I asked his opinion of what he sees on the practice field, not your opinion of him.

He stares them down. I don't think a 2 QB system makes sense though. JG isn't a pure running threat like Dobbs or Tebow. He's a passer, and if he doesn't stare down his receivers, he may be better than Dormady at that. Who knows?

Just pointing out that seeing practice and having a working knowledge of how well a coach is doing are two different things. Sorry if the nuance was hard to follow or if it caused you offense.

I just thought maybe you might want to consider the possible risk of confirmation bias there. Should have known better. My bad.

Oh..ok. I didn't see that, but it is at best 3rd hand info, and at worst just an outright lie, or misunderstanding either on the part of the poster, or the relative.

It was me that posted it, and certainly wasn't a lie. I'm not a fan if posting "hear say", but that's what the dude said, and like I said in my post, he could have been blowing smoke. Who knows? There's def something tho as to why he's not on D with the amount of talent we have at WR.

I want to see a lot of Guarantano Saturday. Hopefully he'll get at least one half. I also would like seeing Chandler get 10-15 carries.

FWIW, Callaway was clearly a playmaker in camp last year. Z was working him hard and he was very attentive and responding. In one practice he high pointed a long pass from Dobbs in the back of the end zone over Abernathy for a TD in a mini scrimmage between the first team O and D.

The coaches had all the evidence they needed last year to play him more, they just had more experienced, talented guys ahead of him and he's not a slot. Not starting him was ridiculous this year. He's the most physically talented WR they have by far. JJ is a Warrior athlete that uses all has to beat you. Callaway is a natural WR who can become elite.

But the coaches have to call plays so the QB can throw him the ball. It would be like having Kelly and CFA in the same backfield all the time and giving most all of the carries to CFA. Stupid. I'm hopeful OC Scott will take it from here.
