I liked baseball more my entire life anyways but had nothing to root for. Selfishly, if this is the deal with the devil to have an elite baseball team then I’m fine with it. But I know most people aren’t primary baseball fans.

Sure, but tonight isn’t a one off. I hope he grows from it and badly want him to. I’m just not sure if he will. We’ve gotten worse with, objectively, better talent across the board since 2022. And you could argue the teams we are playing/schedule have also gotten worse.

I get the sentiment but we don’t make those moves. We are never going to fire someone and hire the rockstar coach on the block. It just doesn’t happen.

It’s a new day with Danny White. But I do worry he tucks tail if the fans were to boycott football and force a change as we have in the past. He seems like the type that wouldn’t take well to that.

Yeah, everyone was so relieved we didn't choke to ND as the #1 ranked team to finish tied for 16th in Tony's 5th year, with the most talent in the sport. Sucked finishing tied for 8th last year. We weren't even dealing with huge NCAA penalties. Finally got that Stoerner's fumble in the CWS and won out in Tony's 7th year. Loved it! Some idiots really know how to divide the fan base to take out their aggression, and then pretend it was a "joke." A joke, get it. The kind of fan that charges in predictably trolling at a loss and that the baseVol forum seeks to ban.

Nico would have a little more passing yards… which would have made it even crazier.

The only joke I saw tonight was Heups coaching. Comparing CWS and super regional losses to losing to a trash Arkansas team isn't the flex you think. Also baseball is a much more unpredictable sport than football.

Just want to put another stat out between Hooker and Nico cause it’s also really close.

Hooker rushing first 5 games: 212 yards, 4.9, 2 TD
Nico rushing first 5 games: 117 yards, 4.7, 1 TD

Hooker had about 3-4 more attempts per game.

Not sure we have better talent on offense. Maybe we do. But do you know how many of those dudes are in the NFL + Sampson, Bru, Spraggins, Coop were all on that roster.

Dang. We lost. IT sucks. You all are more emotional than my wife. Nico is a freshman. We got beat in every aspect. We honestly didn't deserve to win that game and anyone watching college football this year could have told you it was not going to be easy. Teams look amazing and then get demolished the next week. Strap up. Every year is going to be a roller coaster. Too much parity in the sport. Week five and only one undefeated team left in sec.

Nico is a redshirt freshman. Same as Johnny football and Jameis when they won the Heisman. He's not a baby.

For every jameis and johnny, theres a bunch more qb’s that need more 1 year to “pop.” Everyone progresses at different rates, it appears nico will need more time. We “should” be good long-term.

Long term he was only supposed to be here 1 more year. But it's fine. Everyone's pissy that some of us are quite upset over another blown season. I like Nico. I like Heupel. But it's a business now. They have to do better. ✌️
