There are plenty of idiot gun owners. Our country is full of idiots.
I'm not sure what the idiot to non-idiot ratio is in the gun owner community.
I would love to see that ratio compared to the idiot to non-idiot ratio in the non gun owner community.
Just out of curiosity.

Now if they produced and marketed "baseball" bats that were covered in razor wire and spikes, I would probably be against it because it is now a weapon intended to harm.

Just rational and reasonable measures that allow the continued enjoyment of those god given rights within a functioning society.

People will not mind their own business when they perceive that by minding their own business the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Wrong. This makes matters worse - as you go larger in scale (national, global) the value of labeling people you don't know and have not interacted with or learned anything about decreases; particularly when you use subjective, dichotomous criteria such as idiot/non-idiot.
