Reparations for Slavery (California)

Those tricky Californians are up to their schemes again!! 😀
It looks like it may PASS here.
Of course it will serve as precedent for the rest of America to eventually follow.

Estimated $ 17 Trillion investment if it happens nationwide with every Black-American recieving 150k one time payment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✅🇺🇸
I'm Black...so yeah I support it obviously.

What say you Volnation? Is this beginning of a good thing??
What about Americans who claim Ancestry from Union Soldiers?? Don't they deserve something as well? Just a thought...
Be sure to back your $600 out from the stimulus. $149,400. Don’t want to appear to be spending money frivolously.

How so?
Inflation??
Meh...
My children are going to inherit many resources. Even if this doesn't pass.
They'll inherit land domestic and abroad and will get College Education for free in California.

Shoot man, this Covid-19 thing has been a blessing in some ways. I called for forbearance on one of my properties here in US. Strictly because I could. I went 8 months without paying my $2,100 mortgage and then sold it in December. And i sold it at 20k higher than what I bought it. So I gained almost $37,000 because of "planning ".
Black or white, yellow etc...you have to plan.

I mean think about this guys. Black people could no longer make the excuse:
"The man is keeping me down"
Right? 🤣
How about a cool million?

No. It's actually quite simple. The loan is the loan. Right?

So the balance needs to get paid somehow.
I simply paused payments BUT continued working through this pandemic. So "real time " cash was being earned...and I simply sold my home to a Bay Area guy that wanted to relocate. So the loan was paid off plus the equity it gained...
But that was lost equity. It’s not lost cash on hand at the time but you’re definitely oversimplifying the equation. But, hey, it was your property, you planned, got some equity out of it, and feel good about it so good for you man. Those 8 months of equity vs 8 months of cash saved probably didn’t amount to much difference anyway, not today anyway. Obviously, continuing to roll that equity into another property purchase has advantages but that’s down the road but there’s nothing wrong with choosing to hang onto money you have in hand today. There’s no telling where we are headed.

My family was busy being exterminated by Nazis not long ago. We were not here for this slavery thing. As a matter of fact when my ancestors first got here they were jailed as potentially being spies and almost returned to the Nazis. Where do I fall on this?
Because I could use so guilt money from the government too.

I bet they were very nice jails though. Also it couldn't have been that bad, they were white. Everyone knows white people only live lives of luxury. Reparations denied.

Both the woke crowd and the racist agree.....I’m definitely not white.

if the principle is the government should be held accountable for it's atrocities then my question is completely legit.

yes slavery was an atrocity - that's a no-brainer. the list is long beyond slavery.

what is principle without application?

IDK what your point is

Don't your people own all the banks? Just call a cousin or something idk.

I want reparations for the horrible atrocity that is our government. They’ve sucked for a very long time no matter which side of the aisle you sit on.

Correct. I gained 20k on the property itself.
I do my finances my own way. I don't have everything tied up into my assets like that.

But I always pay my taxes...

Look I'm an Independent. I don't believe in Welfare believe it or not. But if someone hands me 150k because I'm black...why would get mad? Or reject it?

My kids will understand where I came from. Even though there college will be free, there's no guarantee that Stanford will accept them. If they do, They stil have to graduate and be contributing citizen.

America was built off Capitalism. Slavery...being one of them.

It is what it is.

How much cottom did you pick a day?

I could see this coming from a mile away. I just had a gut feeling this would likely be a point of contention.

California Reparations Panel Struggles To Decide Which Black Americans Should Receive Handouts | ZeroHedge
“No one asked me if my ancestors were enslaved in the United States or if they were enslaved in Jamaica or if they were enslaved in Barbados,” said Holder.

“We have to embrace this concept that black lives matter, not just a sliver of those Black lives, because black lives are in danger, especially today.”

My question would be were any of her ancestors enslaved in California though?

I put 12k into my IRA.
That is gaining interest as we speak.

I spent the other cash on other properties.
I made no down payment on my home in thousand oaks. VA Loan.

How exactly do you measure investments??
How did you get 12k into your IRA?

Well now hold on... even if you accepted forbearance, the principal amount remained unchanged, so when you sold, you still had that sitting there. Granted, you may have gained a little scratch between the freezing of interest on the principal and inflation, but over 8 months, I can't see that coming up to $37,000.
