Rich Men North of Richmond

It's unfortunate that you are not perceptive enough to see the difference between trump and "any career politician"---much like MAGA dopes want to pretend that Biden or other Dems are not different than the gangster. Uh, the differences are as wide as the Grand Canyon. MAGA want to pretend that jaywalkers are no different than serial killers.
You are correct. It is very unfortunate when someone doesn't realize that they have been duped into blindly following a narrative.

I've never seen song lyrics that were as overthought in my life lol. Everybody is so afraid they won't be out in front on the narrative so they can virtue signal appropriately.
It's eerily similar to the Barbie thread

It's true . . . Luther Campbell was a man head of his time.

Indeed he was.

However, some may argue that Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice were the lyrical geniuses that carried the 'Crew' to stardom.

I think we can both agree that Mr. Mixx rode their coat tails to fame.

Lol. Nobody cares. It’s a good song. He may be a one hit wonder. Who cares what the right or left likes? You either like the song or you don’t. Screw the right and left crap.

Left or right, we can all agree that gingers have no souls and should be cast out of society with extreme prejudice.

The song is political and it's huge, so it makes sense.

I like this song too, despite some of the lyrical problems I take issue with (kinda like my criticisms in this thread). It's basically got the inverse of Richmond. It's hip-hop. Its gripes relate more to social justice, wars, and stuff like that. Although it complains about taxes and spending, too. Richmond yearns for a better America he once knew. Ali decries a past that was worse. Neither is wrong about the underlying message.

You better believe if this song were #1, people would be over-thinking the lyrics.

That's a blast from the past. Haven't thought about Brother Ali in a minute.

That reminds me, I saw Prof this year. Not sure if you are familiar but he used to be part of the label that had all those guys like Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, etc. Pretty good show.

Wife and youngest are redheads. I always thought the jokes were funny. Still do.

Her, not at all. Guess she spent her whole childhood getting teased about it and it bothers her to this day.
