Can't. Won't be voting for her. Plus, she's been VP anyway.Hardly. But I'll play. Name one accomplishment of Kamala Harris since she has been in high office.
I think it comes down to different things. I would say the right leaning people tend to look at most things holistically as they are, but the government, or certain aspects, as they want them to be, ie Trump. The two sides are indistinguishable on this.
I like Trump's policies. Sorry. Has nothing to do with being 'right wing'. American corporations need to feel some financial pain in order to get out of China.Can't. Won't be voting for her. Plus, she's been VP anyway.
But of course, you actually think Trump is a great candidate. Statements like "we need Trump" are one of the many reasons your credibility can't reach anything beyond a right wing echo chamber
Pretty interesting conversation about why right-wingers are happier than left-wingers. The guest is the guy who wrote the book Coddling the American Mind. He has some pretty good explanations.
- liberals suffer more from anxiety and depression
- people with anxiety need CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and the world is offering them reverse CBT. Instead of the attitude "a lot of this is in my head, and it's not as bad as it seems," it is replaced by "this is a catastrophe, and it's because the world is completely ****ed." They talked about somehow right-wingers can have so much distrust in institutions and have this same attitude that things are totally ****ed, but it seems to make them happier. I guess the explanation is it's not coupled with anxiety?
- less religiosity (which is correlated with happiness)
They talked about how quickly this happened, since liberals were so hopeful in the Obama era. They had a completely different identity and now the driving force is just shaming/scaring people into siding with them, and it's not been a winning strategy for the party or resulted in good for America.
There were plenty of other interesting points that are escaping me.
Why Are Conservatives Happier Than Progressives?
It has now been nearly two decades since a majority of Americans have told pollsters at NBC that they’re satisfied with the way things are going. This hope drought has no precedent in modern polling.www.theringer.com
Children with liberal parents more likely to suffer mental health problems: Study - Washington ExaminerProbably true... Given lefties are generally more intelligent.
Why Are Intelligent People More Prone to Mental Illness?
I think it's primarily that liberals have higher expectations in general.
It's like if two people go to a movie, one expects the movie to be great and the other has zero expectations, they both grade the movie at about a 6 but one is disappointed while the other is relatively pleased.
Leftists?LOL 'facts'. But I know you leftists see what you believe, so....
I would say you gotta keep in mind this is a sampling problem. If you're a narcissist, a medical professional is never gonna diagnose you unless you specifically see a therapist, and what Republican is going to a therapist to find out they are a narcisist?
This sampling is specifically biased towards anxiety and depression that a normal GP would feel comfortable telling a patient they may have.
In fact, the whole narcissism thing may be why right wingers can be happy while thinking the world is totally ****ed
