Like the idea that you're a better "thinker" than Obama and Biden and I, on the other hand, must be an idiot compared to Palin (assumed by someone that has never met me before). It's hypocrisy because we're doing the same thing (making points about the opposition) yet when I do it you have a problem with it but when you do it you are right (in your mind).

For the record, I don't have a problem with anyone's opinion on here, it's just that, but don't whine about my opinion when your opinions are just as strong.

My opinion beat up your opinion!

You have yet to zero in on this hypocrisy claim you made.

I don't have a problem with you expressing your opinions, just stated you would probably fail if you tried to imitate her.

You could insert "he" for "she" with "he" referring to Obama and your statement would still be accurate.

The difference between her and Obama is, Obama would address the question directly and clearly, much better then McCain usually did.

Paulin on the other hand, was well-prepared, but she never seemed to address Biden's arguments or the questions directly. She simply went straight to talking points on each issue she had prepared ahead of time.

By going directly to his talking points. All candidates do this. Obama has been trained in the art of debate, public speaking, and talking points. He is a lawyer, that's what lawyers do. To say he answers the questions directly is somewhat dubious because all the questions have an answered prepared by the campaign.

All candidates have talking points, that's a given.

The difference is, some candidates don't have to rely on them to answer a question. They have enough grasp of an issue to do into depth and detail depending on the specifics of a question. Palin didn't. I don't know how else to say it. Palin went off prepared talking points the entire night it seemed because none of her responses seemed to hit on the specific questions or responses from Biden.

Not all of her responses to the questions posed were on point I'll agree. To say that none of her responses were on point is false. I would say the majority were on point, many times she would expand on the question and take it into related points she wanted to speak about. Nothing wrong with that, she just doesn't do it as fluidly as Obama would.

We were discussing how she debated, not her intelligence. No one is saying she isn't intelligent.

BTW thanks for the insulting comment on spelling, I've come to expect those from you though.

I thought that myself too.

basically you said she doesn't understand the issues. If that's not an insult to her intelligence (as it pertains to the debate) than I'm not sure what is.

And my spelling comment wasn't meant as an insult since I find the constant misspelling of her name more ironic than anything.

She blatantly did not know most of the issues in depth, thats not insulting her intelligence thats showing her ignorance.

specifically which issue did she not know?

1. foreign policy... not her strong suite so its a pass
2. economics... diverting all economic questions back to the oil her state produces. She could have slammed dunked this but didn't come close.
3. energy... again, her answer to about four different questions, she doesn't seem to realize Alaska is unique in its position vs. the other 49 states.
