Serious QB discussion

I know what he was in high school. Hopefully he becomes what everyone hopes he should be. But folks willing to sacrifice the season is insane.
How long have you been watching Volunteer football? Maybe read up on Casey Clausen and Erik Ainge. It’s asinine to think the #2- or #1-rated QB in the country, depending on which service you consult, couldn’t do better than what we’re seeing from Milton.

Let me guess - -you’re going to tell me it’s impossible just because our infallible coach has chosen to ride with Joe, and coaches never make mistakes.

This board is like groundhog day sometimes with the mindless stupidity being looped over and over again every time a new coach does something really mindless and indefensible.

Prob oughta do a quick google before looking ignorant. Passing per game-242. Rushing-231. I’ll let you enlighten yourself on where that falls nationally. So yeah, pretty serious. Guess your joes uncle? Nice to meet you.

You’ve already proven yourself to be the ignorant one.

You hate Milton so bad that you’d rather be right than wrong.

We're 5-1. You can argue Milton hasn't put the team on his back and won ballgames but he's not costing us ballgames.

Every week we hear the same thing: When do we see Nico?

And without seeing Nico we've won, other than FL. How do you pull a QB who isn't making you lose? The answer is: you don't.

You won't see Nico in anything but mop up until Joe Milton starts causing us to lose.
I’ve yet to see anyone complaining about the receivers not getting open…. They’re not getting any separation

6th in rushing. 63 in passing. Maybe you can find the mathematical difference. Look at you making insults because you’re wrong and can’t do anything else. I’ll use facts. You call names. I dont hate the kid. He may be a great person. I don’t know him. But my eyes and the stats tell me he’s a below average QB. You keep pumping that sunshine. Just don’t do it here.

We need a whole run package for Milton next week! Throw a triple option on Bama next week! lol
I'd piut Dee Williams in at QB and tell the line to just gieve him room to "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee"..or at split end on some reverses...

Line hasn’t been great but they were pretty decent today. Joe just stunk.
true joe was bad but the big boy has already had a twisted knee and bruised ribs behind this line.nico at his slim size cant take those kind of hits yet.

Gasten Moore will play before Nico at Bama....good grief Nico is here to start next year....that's how his family wants it been stated many times by others...

Coaches aren't infallible.

Halzle has about 15 years of mostly QB experience at the D1 level.
Heupel has about 20 years of mostly QB experience at the D1 level.
You have.......a voice on a forum.

Can you tell me how to subscribe to your college football newsletter? I'd like to glean more of your vast experience judging football. Thanks.

Other than throw a football a quarter-mile, JM3 isn’t going to do anything that most other QBs on our roster can’t also do.

And what are all of you basing the "Nico is great" on? He has yet to take any meaningful snaps in any game against an SEC team. Yes he was great in high school, but that is true of almost every player that is signed out of high school.
My guess is they think there has to be another option. We have really good coaches though and if they thought Nico was better than Joe, he would be playing. I think he probably just makes a lot of mistakes in practice and any coach worth their salt isn’t going to put the quarterback in that makes more mistakes than the starter.

What’s funny to me is you’re all for benching Milton but can’t come up with any local explanation on why you think the other QBs would do better.

So in other words, you don’t care about winning as long as Milton doesn’t play.

You’re going to die on this hill so there’s no point arguing with you.

You can’t show one post where I say bench Milton. Not 1. I’m just ready for people like you to stop trying to convince me that he’s not below average and doesn’t give us the chance to win big games this year.

And there is no hill. Only facts that you want to continue to ignore. I’m talking facts. You’re talking feelings. With that said I don’t think the word “logical” or “local” as you spelled it should be in your vocabulary this evening.

5-1 with Milton at QB.

He’s done exactly what the coaches have told him to do.

You think Heupel forgot how to coach QBs?

Maybe he’s not as bad as you’re implying.

By no means am I defending Joes play. But, I don't think Hendon would have last year's stats throwing to this year's WR's. Keyton wasn't a starter, but now is. Squirrel played last year, but was a role player. Bru is out. We don't have anyone who can stretch the field like Tillman or Hyatt. Both are playing on Sundays. I don't feel like any WR on our team right now would play on Sundays. I haven't seen a back shoulder throw all season. Deep balls just aren't there. There were a few today that were PI's that didn't get called. 100 yds won't cut it. There's gonna come a game were somebody's DC is gonna put 7 & 8 in the box and shut that run down to make Ol Joe beat them.

We dont hate Milton. Most of us just want what's best for the team this year and moving forward to next year.
Next year? That is what I don't get. Why are you not concerned with THIS YEAR? We are 5-1 and have 6 games left in this season and probably a bowl game - so 7 games.

Some of you predicted we would lose to South Carolina, but we won. Some of you predicted we would lose to A&M and we won.

Let's finish this year first.

Had it occurred to any of you guys that this year’s receiving corps doesn’t include Hyatt, Tillman or McCoy?
These types don’t simply grow on trees

Joe makes some bad decisions but he is getting no help from his receivers, none, beyond that it seems the officiating is biased against us more and more each week, they just cant get into a rythm on offense, havent all year.

It's not like we're 5-1 year in and year out. What 3 year's (2016, 2022, 2023) out of the last 17 year's (2006)? I'm with you. We need to look at our overall success. I don't care how we win as long as we win.
