Lets see, 1 guy can coach and 1 can't. 1 guy is loyal and 1 isn't. 1 guy had to earn his way and the other's dady keeps getting him jobs. The most unbelievable and funny thing out of the Kiffen UT situation is some Vols fans think he would have led them to the promise land. lol

He's breaking 100 year old school records and signing top 25 recruiting classes. I would say the sky is the limit if things stay the way they're going. As much as Vandy fans (all three of them) would like for this to be true, the evidence is mounting that we're not going to stay at a level that has helped Vandy enjoy what little success that they believe they've achieved.

the funny thing about the Franklin-Vandy situation is some Vandy fans think he makes them matter in the SEC :lol:

I hope he goes to Texas and has all the success of Lane in LA

He beat one team in the past two years in the SEC with a winning record, UGA. And even they were plagued by injuries this year.

His "winning record" is a farce.

Read what we're saying. Try multiple times if that's what it takes.

We're comparing their tactics of sticking a thumb in the eye of rivals, making comments to stir things up, and other ways to draw attention to a program.

That's where the comparison stops.

It didn't fit at Tennessee, and it won't fit at Texas (which is why I said he'd have to adjust).

UT's past doesn't matter in this case, but nice try.

My only point was that it is something he will have to address in any hiring process he goes through.

Simply saying 'its done' doesn't fly. Would it stop him at this point? Probably not given what's been released at this point.

But there will be questions about it.

Franklin doesn't say anything about Vandy's rivals. All he's ever said is that they won't take any crap of anyone. Any coach worth a damn will say that. Kiffen says things like it will be sweet when we beat Florida in the swamp and sing rocky top all night long and then he skips town in the middle of the night! There is no comparison between the 2. Don't worry about Franklin going to Texas. He won't get offered and that's just fine with me!

He has made them matter. He's beat every team in the SEC east but South Carolina. He's kept UT out of a bowl game 2 years in a row. When u take your team to the post season and beat your rivals your doing a good job!

Vanderbilt doesn't have rivals my friend.

When your program tends to bottom feed for decades, you really don't have any one team you could call a "rival" since you tend to be the homecoming team for most.

I shall remember you are a Vandy troll that has a really short memory when it comes to your football program (or historical lack thereof)

73-30-5. That's not a record most schools would associate with a "rivalry." That's more of a tradition of a scrimmage with in state opponent.

Vandy has had 2 good coaches in their history and they were 80 years apart. Tennessee was a horrible team and lost to Vandy almost every year until Neyland got there. Times change and nothing lasts forever!

What our esteemed (and I use that word loosely) Volnation Vanderbilt fan (and I use that word singularly) doesn't realize is Franklin is probably sitting at home right now fondling his Bevo doll and texting his agent every half hour asking "have they contacted you about me yet?"

He would jump ship in a heartbeat and be screaming "Hook 'em horns!" while on his way to the Nashville airport.

I keep up with every thing the Vols are doing as well as any other team Vandy plays.

I wasn't asked about them. I was asked which of Franklin's guys have been impact players. Honest question, If Bobby Johnsons players were so great why couldn't he win with them when Franklin can? A little off topic but I'm a Titans fan and Justin Hunter a former Vol was suspended the for the last game for breaking team rules.
