TBH, I don't know. I don't know what or if there is a solution, all I know is it makes me mad. We contribute to the backpack program at a couple Title 1 schools and it pisses me off that programs like that need to exist. Some of the stories I hear just make me want to stomp the crap out of these parents.
Then we have a state legislature spending time and money on legislation to punish drag shows that parents are willingly taking their kids to, and my guess is these parents aren't the ones with kids lugging home a backpack full of food for the weekend. Let's get our damn priorities straight. Which is worse, a hungry kid or a kid seeing some dude dressed as a woman?
Don't take your kid. Boom, they left you alone.
There are a multitude of ways. The primary objective would be to lessen generational poverty.Seriously, though, explain your thinking here.
Ah, that was the disconnect . You're talking folks on assistance. There are a multitude of ways. The primary objective would be to lessen generational poverty.
You could offer any mother currently receiving assistance:
- a $5000 credit each year she does not get pregnant.
- a one time payment of $5000 to have Norplant or some other type of long-term contraception.
You could also offer financial incentives to males for agreeing to reversible long term contraception.
Speaking of a mind that can't fathom.........you are the undisputed champ. You are so accustomed to being led around by the nose and being told what to do your mind can't fathom another way to live.
Marketing it as family friendly should definitely be restricted. If a guy in a white lab coat told parents that a daily dose of arsenic is healthy for their kids, a lot of these stupid m'fers would do it. Hell, how many kids got the jab because their gullible parents were told it was safe and necessary? You don't think a bright poster with bold lettering saying "ALL AGES WELCOME!" won't influence a stupid person into think it is ok? It is like hacking the system. Make it seem normal for parents to bring their kids, that we more parents will bring their kids because they think it is normal.

One has been a problem for a helluva lot longer than the other yet I don't recall it being discussed much around here.
So you want the government to protect stupid people from themselves?

I would guess teen dance competitions. However I would rank that orders of magnitude less disturbing than a scantily clad drag performer gyrating in front of children.
