So Worley almost beats 2 ranked teams yet...

I'd bet 100 to a doughnut it want be Ferg with the two cupcake starter games. Ferg may get into the mix if Worley gets off in the Oklahoma game. That's where I want to see Ferg in action if it is going to be.

I may be misunderstanding you, if I am I apologize, but you want Ferg's first collegiate action to be against Oklahoma? Umm what?

Losses to UF, UO, UGA and UA beat USC might wanna check your facts

I already apologized, but I would like to point out it looks like we were both wrong. Florida was on Peterman and Worley was not only hurt against Bama but the defense gave up 3 TDs in 1st quarter and... it's freaking Alabama lol

I wouldn't say he's fourth string Peterman is based off his showing last year. Worley is 2nd string at best probably going to be 3rd.

Again, I'm trying to figure out why people say this. Fergy was basically tied with Dobbs so could've easily been last... behind him and Peterman who looked lost. Now, he's the only one with no experience.

Then Worley played very well enough to beat Ga and SCjr, so where is the reasoning that says he won't be the starter again?

There are several sources that said Ferg was ahead of Dobbs before he got hurt.

Prolly because the difference between our 1 and 4 is not as big as some want to think it is.

Just trying to determine why Worleys performance against Ga and SCjr + Dobbs awfulness against Vandy + Fergy having zero experinece and was behind lost Pete and Dobbs = "not as big" of a difference. I'm not saying Worley is freakin awesome but people keep throwing off Worleys performance before he got injured.

I dont think the name Worley was mentioned in the Josh Malone sales pitch.

Kinda like Palardy? Or Crompton?

The legend of Jon Crompton's senior year is one of the most overblown things I've ever seen. He played a couple of good games. Other than that, he was somewhere between pedestrian and bad.

Malone was asked about our QB situation and he mentioned Worley, Dobbs, and Ferguson. The only one I don't recall him mentioning was Peterman.

I'd take 27 td's,13 int's, and almost a 60% completion ratio. Previous year: 4,5,51%. Pretty good improvement.

same. Want proof? You didn't quote GA's original response. He went back and edited it. It was a great season by any standards, but from what he had been doing, it was remarkable.

Outside of a half against UGA there is not really much to argue about.

I don't think any of the three qbs that got a chance this season have done anything to show they should be the starter. Worley can command the offense better than the other two. Dobbs just looked lost and slow at reading everything. He has wheels though. No idea when to use them though, it was just his go to. Neither had an impressive arm. Peterman, well he struggled everywhere, but was apparently hurt from the get go, but was apparently hurt from the get go.

Time to see if anybody on this staff knows how to coach up QBs. Jones and crew have done everything right except coaching to this point. Kinda defeats the purpose if they don't get the coaching part down.

I edited because my 50% blast was a little off-but not much. You're right that he showed marked improvement, but he still had multiple games where he just wasn't very good (UCLA, Florida, Auburn).

I'm not trying to throw any of our QB off the bus. In fact, I think we have 3 man race between Dobbs, Worley, and Ferguson next year. I even think Peterman is still in there but as a much longer shot.

But there's really no need to make an argument by subtraction and what I mean by that is if you watched the UK game then you'd have seen a Dobbs that had a stellar game and finally clicked in the position. No reason to subtract that from the conversation any more than there is to subract the fact that Worley had a great half against UGA and seemed to finally click against SC.

All in all we're probably a lot better off at the position than we think. I've said it a million times but new QBs playing with a WR corps that is all brand new and even a TE that's green as can be you're not gonna have a great passing game until those guys get enough experience. It sucks but it is what it is.

I am not sure we have a QB now that can win all those games in a single season, unfortunately.
