Marcus, how do u explain homosexuality in animals?
Animals don't have souls in the biblical sense. Nor do they have morals. Some believe because of this none will be in heaven. I believe all will be in heaven but that it will be like in the garden of Eden when animals didn't fear men, and men didn't fear animals. I think animals do whatever "feels good" such as a dog trying to hump your leg. Homosexuality in animals is no different. Its a matter of ignorance.
Again, for about the tenth time in 2 threads...do something about it. You want to be a champion for gay rights? Get out your checkbook. Call your congressman. Start a movement. Vote for people who see things the way you do.
Or you can sit at home and complain about the people that are doing something. That's fast becoming the American way. I wonder how many posters in this forum even vote. Bet my butt its about half. Don't like the direction government is headed in your state? Initiate a change by taking action. I have, and will.
Who knew NC was such a backwards state....
I don't know why, I just always assumed NC was more progressive than most southern states. I guess I was just jumping to conclusions. There are probably a lot of hillbillies scattered in between the major metro areas.

QUOTE=therealUT;6702945]The citizens of North Carolina are just voting to preserve the following stereotypes:
1. Homosexuality is abominable.
2. The citizens of North Carolina are uneducated and backwards hicks.
I imagine that if they got rid of the first stereotype, they would make great progress in getting rid of the second.
I haven't saw the polling but I would venture to say that 50% or more of the voters that voted against the same sex marriage bans in these states never darken the doors of a church.
The "church people" will vote against it but there are more people that do not go to church than goes.
How do you explain their reasons for voting against it ?
still don't see it. What I believe has no bearing on what others use to justify their belief system.
but you seem to deny that non Christians also support this bill do you not? maybe I am off base but it seems that non-believers use the "Bible Thumper" banner only when they think it will garner votes against something.....carry on
