Spurrier being Spurrier. Takes a jab at UT

Steve Spurrier takes shot at Tennessee | For The Win

You have to admit, that is pretty funny. Here's to hoping his 14th isn't too memorable for him!

Meh...on a Spurrier scale of 1 to 10 that's a 2 at best.

There's a lot of truth to that...Spurrier has taken teams from Duke, Florida and South Carolina into Neyland in a period spanning a quarter of a century. Butch has only coached inside Neyland for five games (if you count his Cincinnati game a couple of years ago).

Tells me one thing...Spurrier is getting old.....:)

Spurrier has easily outcoached our four past head coaches - so he has the right to act like he does.

Only a pussy would think that was a shot.
Spurrier could retire into stand up.
Might need to after Saturday.

It is color TV. Not "colored" TV.

I guess Im one of the few that doesn't mind him. Great coach, great personality.

Go beat him if you want hear something different. He'll still come up with something good even in defeat. Thats just him.

It was funny and typical east Tennessee humor.

For those of you who feel u have to defend, all you have to know is thay Lane Kiffin smoked SS in neyland.

Have I hated Spurrier at times? Yes.
Do I like Spurrier? Yes.
Would I have liked for him to have spent his career coaching at Tennessee? Hell yes!
Anyone here that says that they wouldn't are simply lying.

Spurrier is good coach and nothing more. He's is not in the elite of coaches. He is average at best. Look at his total history in coaching. He couldn't make it in the pros as a coach ( or as a player ). The only way he makes a name for himself right now is that Tennessee is not what they were, Florida is not what they were and Georgia is really the same way. When these three get back the Spurrier can do no better that 4th place in the east. I wonder when south Carolina will wake up and figure out this "has been" is getting paid way too much. The only thing spurrier has mastered is throwing back the bottle. Even Pete Carroll is better coach than "ole ball slush".
Ahem, yea, Spurrier is one of the all time greats. Hell Saban didn't make it in the NFL either. And who do you think made Florida "what they were"?

Love Spurrier in the SEC. Can't see it any other way. Do the jabs at UT make anyone mad, or does the little bit of truth in all of the jabs hurt the most? They just fan the flame in my opinion. He doesn't poke fun at meaningless teams.
