A week or so ago the editor at Heroic Hollywood said expect bad reviews even if the film is good because there is an effort now in some circles to put superhero films down!
If you look less at the overall rating and more at the company's the reviewers work for and who voted it Fresh or Rotten!
All these voted Rotten!

lol: yeah...no.
One of my fave youtube reviewers, Chris Stuckman, said the movie, while with its good aspects, was a mess. the dude is huge into comics and what have you as well. Highly doubt his C+ grade was part of an effort to put comic book movies down.
I'll still gladly go see this, but I'm not surprised at all by the average reviews for this. (that being sad, i'm loving all the positive talk about Affleck's batman/bruce wayne. might be the thing i'm most looking forward to in this.)
8.5/10 at Heroic Hollywood
I didn't read the main part of the review because of the spoiler warning. It does say the following in the summary:
"I thought this was the perfect start to the DC Extended Universe. I had a tiny issue with the pacing in the first act, but a second viewing and the second and third acts make me forget my issue entirely. I love this film so much. The story is very complex and you need to pay very close attention to every detail. For certain things youd really have to know DC Comics lore to understand. [REMOVED SPOILER] I wasnt too sold on Affleck until seeing this film. He is the definitive Batman and his performance blew me away. Wonder Woman is the star of this movie and the entire crowd agreed by screaming each time she appeared. Jesse Eisenbergs Lex Luthor was the perfect mix of insane, evil and downright brilliant. Jeremy Irons was a great Alfred and was the perfect comedic presence in the film, if you like sarcasm. Last but not least, Superman. Henry Cavill gave us one hell a performance. They redeemed Superman. This film is everything you want it to be and then some. You will laugh. You will cry. Go see it. Grab your tickets and take your kids. They will love it. I know I did. Im taking my nephews this weekend!"
This movie is literally getting bad reviews because it's not marvel .
Saw an interesting thought earlier. If The Dark Knight had come out tonight instead of Dawn of Justice, would we be seeing the same reviews? That it's an overly dark, needlessly moody take on a superhero movie?
So the Dark Knight Trilogy got good reviews because it is Marvel?
I'll freely admit I have preconceived notions about the direction Zach Snyder is taking the DC Cinema U. I didn't care for MoS despite being excited as all get out about it until I watched it. I left very disappointed. Dark and gloomy Superman who let's Pa Kent get sucked up by a tornado is not what I want from Superman.
Even the "good" reviews I've read have backed up those same concerns. Dark, dour, gloomy, excessive destruction, etc, are consistent words being used. That's not what what I want to see.
