I can't help but think how differently the tone would be on this board if Fulmer was still coach and he had lost Tajh... Keep building Lane up guys, want to make sure he gets as high as possible when we all start knocking him down here in five years or so....
Earring-wearing!! God forbid, NO! That certainly means something, I'm sure, not very nice.Having grown up in the Hampton Roads area I will speak for the volunteer nation and say we don't want him here.
He's an earring wearing, me first, screw everyone else person. Let him take his skills somewhere else and land in their jails.
Adios to the Michael Vick clone.
I hate to see any athelete decide against UT. I do however find it strange that these High School kids are in the spotlight and suddenly they are committing and decommitting and offering there opinions on who should be on the coaching staff. I hope we get some great atheletes but I also want players that want to come to UT. He would be a good reciever. Let him go play at Michigan. RR needs someone like him or he will be in the unemployment line too.
I dont in any way shape or form trust the character from athletes out of Hampton (ie: duke crews, michael vick, marcus vick)
Thank God, I never wanted him anyways. All he is, is another Michael Vick or Vince Young, who can't throw worth a crap and has terrible decision making. He would've never adapted to our new system, Lane did us all a huge favor this time. I don't care what his rating was, I doubt he'd make it in the SEC as QB.
I think the "G-Gun" is giving recruits the wrong idea of the direction our offense is going. Sure it's nice to have a few gimmick plays in the playbook, but it's not something I'd like to see our offense built around
This hurts pretty bad. Without a new solid QB or a much improved Crompton, Stephens, or Coleman, then next year is deja-vu.
Yeah the last thing we need is Michael Vick or Vince Young. I'd hate to have someone who could get our team to a national championship on pure talent or a guy who could single handedly beat one of the best teams ever assembled in a national championship. Say what you will about life after college but Young and Vick were two of the finest college athletes ever.
I think it's a bad loss, regardless of if he plays or not if we got him on the hill we could at least get a better idea of whether he could pan out or not. From what I understand he was more of a pocket guy than a dual threat anyways, and if what I've heard about Kiffin calling and saying he was flat out not going to honor his scholarship was true I don't think that's overly bright either.
All they did was RUN the football, and thats it. Heck Young couldn't even throw the football right.Every time he threw it, his release was side armed. I don't even need to continue about Vick, everyone knows all that he's good for. Boyd will just be another Young or Vick who believes there is an "I" in team.

You couldn't have seriously expected a solid QB recruit, but not a once-in-a-decade-QB-prospect to start for you next year?
That's just crazy talk. The # of QB's that have any impact as a freshman are VERY rare. He's not Pryor for example. And Pryor would have gotten eaten up by SEC defenses.
