Tajh Boyd

Yes he has. Ainge didn't throw a ball as good as the one JC threw to Moore in his whole college career.

If just one of the QB's had failed or even two of them then you could lay it at their feet. The fact that one of them could do anything... and all looked similar... suggests at least a big part of the problem was outside of their control.

Ainge won more games throwing wounded ducks than Crompton did all season.

Remember the whooping in Athens 2 years ago? He threw some amazing balls that night. I would have taken Ainge this year over Crompton. I remember last year when everyone was saying bench Ainge and play Crompton. I wish I could find some of those threads :)

He did not have a choice...On the monster this morning Kiffen said he called Boyd and told him he would not fit into his system but would honor the scholarship but called to let him know the direction of the team...More or less we decommitted to him

Has anybody thought that maybe Boyd was told or offered that if he did come to Tennessee That he may or may not play QB. Look at G. Jones and Eric Berry both of those guys were high school QB's. And maybe Boyd thought of himself to much to be a team player. Let him go to the ACC

Merge. With the 12 other threads.

There's a vB plugin somewhere (I know I've seen it) that requires you to check a tickbox stating you've searched before posting a new thread. Can we get that here?

He also told the Clarion-Ledger that he is focused on Friday's state championship and is not discussing the possibility of leaving State because of Croom's firing/resignation.

If he was firm, he would have stayed firm instead of offering a bit of doubt.

Edit to add:
Russell: "I'll handle it when the season's over."

wow Mississippi state or Tennessee. Thats like given a choice between a 12 oz. steak and an 8 oz. at the same price. Just how hungry are you.

I'm glad Kiffin was straight up with the kid and didn't blow smoke just to sign a top recruit and pad the numbers.

Boyd is an accomplished passer. He is nothing like Berry or Jones who were never expected to play QB at the next level. Boyd will be a good QB for someone.

You're on crack. Moore was wide open.

Incorrect. Cutcliffe didn't like JC or NS either.

so was crompton and hey how about Jimmy Clausen hows that working out for him being the #1 QB of '07. I am glad that he did'nt come to Tennessee. I have had enough Clausens for awhile. But don't get me wrong Rick was a better QB than Casey was.

How did you come to that conclusion?
