Yes. There are different verses which contradict each other and various ways one can interpret those verses.
There are no contradictions in the Bible bro. Only misunderstood interpretations. Context is the cure for most of that. Even better is a study guide (usually about twice the size of a bible) Believers Bible Commentary is a great one. Pllease buy one. My wife has one and I use it frequently. Shows a lot of the hebrew and greek roots as well as in depth explanations and historical context.

He is also omnipresent...everywhere He chooses to be all the time. The devil, however is only a fallen angel and can only be in 1 place at 1 time. Demons, principalities, etc. Are widespread. The bible says if we could see the spiritual war going on all around us between the angels and demons it would destroy our feeble minds. This makes it a lie when people say "the devil made me do it." As the odds of him being in your presence are about 3 or 4 billion to 1 (number of humans on earth) the devil doesn't make each man sin against God our "sin nature" does that. When adam and eve unleashed sin upon the world all of their descendants were effected. That is why the bible says we were "conceived in sin" etc. If it were possible, which its not, but if a man lived his entire life without committing a single sin either of commission or omission (to know to do something right and not do it) then biblicly he would still go to Hell without Jesus Christ because he was born with a "sin debt". That is the nature of original sin.
The thing I have never understood is why so many Believers in this country attack Evolution because they feel God and Evolution cannot coexist. Evolution on most levels has in fact been proven. Yes there are still gaps. There is still so much to be learned and thats the point. Science exists because we as a Species want answers to how, when and why. Geology, Physics, Astronomy, Biology, etc.... give us more and more pieces to the Puzzle.
I am Agnostic. I hope that there is a force that put all of this into motion. Death scares the hell out of me. I understand why we created Religion. knowing that me and all the ones I love and care for will each have our day to die depresses scares and angers me. I have lost many people I love already. Thinking about the possibilty of never seeing them again haunts me everyday. I want the answers but I have accepted the reality that I won't have it answered until my day arrives.
I want to believe so bad I really do but I just can't. Things I witnessed while I was an EMT destroyed all faith I had in a Judeo Christian concept of God. However I still havent been shown anything to lead me to conclude that this universe doesn't have a designer. I can only hope.
Its not exactly the most enjoyable outlook I know but it is what it is.

Eh. If you take the story of Adam and Eve literally, then I would say they are.
That is true, but I'm just talking about it from a broad ID perspective. A higher being could have created life on earth through evolution.
If you are specifically talking Christians, yeah, some (a lot?) literally believe Adam was made from dust or whatever.
Not sudere if serious...
LOL so you've been called a Debbie Downer before too.![]()
