Yes, he helped win us a NC championship. I was a huge fan. Thanks for the memories

But noow let's fast forward to today...no longer a huge fan. Thanks for screwing us in front of the whole nation jackass.

Guy is either a moron or played us for a raise.

First thing he don't fly all the way here, under these circumstances, with your family, only to turn down the job.

Second don't say you gave your word to Kiffin (the man who screwed us) and that you didn't want to break your promise to "those" kids when anyone following you knows you walked out on Kentucky and broke your word there.

You had three options.

1) Politely decline and say you are happy there and never travel here in the first place

2) Take the job here and help us right this ship and get things going again.

3) Travel here, make up a lie as an excuse to stay there, and let the whole world know Kiffin got us again and even our guy who won the NC doesn't want to be here.

You chose option 3 and for that I say thanks for the memories Benedict Arnold.

Tell me where I am wrong.

Does your "source" tell you something different?

Is it the same source the other mod had or the OG's had or half of volnation had?

Please tell me again what you know that proves my 3 scenerios wrong.

You won't be able to of course. Yes, I know your link in the AD said blah blah blah.
You need to put your apple juice down and go to bed.

I love you people.

I really do.

College football fans version of France.

I love how you keep referencing terms like Stockholm syndrome and referring to fans as France.

The reason I love it? You are completely whiffing on the meaning and connotation and making yourself look foolish.

Mark my words... Tee will be here one day, he loves this place. He showed true class by not bailing after one year, even if he works for Satan. I have been in his spot before so I know how it feels. Relax, be classy and let everything play out. Everything is not all about we, the fan. We can laugh about this in a few years, when Tee is on the staff. I'm sure he will enjoy talking about all the crazies with no perspective. But then again, he has enough class to never go there. Kiffin is no better than 3rd chair in this current PAC 14 or whatever, so he is on a short leash. As a result, Tee will be available in 2-3 years. Then we will see...

Well, thank you for telling Tee what his options were. So, you're one of those 'what have you done for me lately' types?

He had another option but I suppose you know his motivations better than he does. He could travel to Knoxville, talk to the coaching staff, and get a feel for whether the fit was right. Given your options, anyone that flies to an interview must then accept the position.

Neo,
What if tee was truly interested. However he is currently making $300k....and say butch tells him that we can only pay him $250k here. Wouldn't u fly back to LA and say no thanks?

Actually no, I would jump at it, 250k in Knoxville would go a hell of lot farther then 300k in LA. Hell 250k in Knoxville would be a better standard of living then 500k in LA.

That said the OP is a stone cold idiot.

No kidding...it is flat-out embarrassing that we have so many distasteful, ungrateful, know-it-all jackasses on this site. To call someone like Tee--who put his health and well-being on the line every week, gave his all to his team and university, brought us a national championship, and still never got the recognition he deserved because he played after Peyton--a liar and Benedict Arnold because he chose not to accept the wide recievers coaching position, no matter his reasoning, is so far beyond ridiculous I can't even put it into words. Dissapointment and frustration I can completely understand as I wanted to see Tee coaching here as much as anyone but this is something well beyond that. Rant over lol.

4) Realize that you are a 34 year old coach wanting to build his resume, that doesnt want to burn bridges, especially with his alma mater, so you explore every option. This is the choice any logical person would make. I can see why you couldn't connect the dots....

I loved coach Phil and everything he did for this university. I thought that username would be taken as a light hearted joke. Looking back it was probably not the best choice and I admit that it was immature of me.

Then say this "I thank UT so much for the opportunity but with the recent move from Kentucky to here that my family is just now getting adjusted to I do not want to uproot my family again so soon. I thank the University of TN so much for thinking of me and wish them the best of luck. Go Vols!"

Not the BS line he kicked out.

And yes, the above statement I just wrote would have gotten him out of hot water. We would have understood.

dude, who the hell are you to decide what he should say? its not like he trashed ut so get over yourself and stop acting like you had a horse in the race. he saved face at his job and declined tns offer...he didnt even have to say anything to anybody. he even gave you a reason why he wasnt leaving usc so who really cares if you or anybody else believes it.
