The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

Mathematically possible. Just saying anything can happen.

Make sure to give me a jacket for when hell freezes over as the Cowboys go 12-0 into the playoffs this season.

What is the Cowboys deal with penalties? They have a bunch of them again today. That's a big part of them being 1-3.

I feel like I can post in this thread since romo is my FFL quarterback. Good TD toss there Tony :)

avoiding that pick though would have been nice....that felt like one of those ones you make in madden because you're rushing a throw b/c of the pressure you think is coming

it was for naught at the end there, but that was an amazing catch by roy williams on by the sideline

Hence my avatar. :)

Dear Wade Phillips, Tony Romo and Jason Garrett:

Nice knowing you. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

only that first one's going to be gone most likely

....lol yahoo is still trying to figure out how to categorize that last play statistically

Second favorite player in the league. Yeah, those guys are toast. Great year for QB's in the draft coming up.

Romo is not the answer, that's all I know.

i'm not certain either way on him yet,

but i feel with this year's draft you're facing the same situation you were last april: where teams really were not picking QBs b/c they didn't want to spend the high picks on a player that would have to be invested to developing when no one's sure how long this upcoming lockout's about to last

....now if they solve that before the march deadline though, should be moot

again not saying either way on him, but the only one i think you'll see gone is the head coach...maybe the OC if it turns into an entire coaching overhaul

Not if they trade Romo

and there's no way that would end well for them;

they'd either have to deal with less in return and/or get stuck with some Campbell/Delhomme type (whoever you can find that noone else has signed) (they're not going to get a straight QB for good QB trade; and unfortunately odds aren't in favor to get a "good rookie year" QB immediately in draft....just kinda the way rookie QBs tend to go in this league)

The could trade romo for another position and I think a luck, j locker,c ponder, k moore could be great in the nfl

yes they could, but, in almost all certain likelihood, after needing first to experience 2-3 NFL seasons first.....which not having an NFL season wouldn't help (and more than likely slow down)

Wow. Just looked up the numbers...

Cowboys rank #31 in turnover differential. -5 on the season. -1 per game.
Cowboys rank #32 in penalty yardage. 404 on the season. 80.8 per game.

Lost by 3 vs. Vikings
Lost by 6 vs. Redskins
Lost by 7 vs. Bears
Lost by 7 vs. Titans

Probably would have won all of those if not for the 80 yards of penalties and -1 in turnovers per game. That sucks for the Cowboys. So close.
