The Oakland A's- MLB's ACTUAL AAA team

so the A's continue to strengthen their position on having a completely injured infield by June. The Nomar deal is all but finalized.

Chavy (possibly gone forever with a herniated disc in his back), Nomar and Ellis are all hurt as of right now. We all know a Bobby Crosby injury is just around the corner and Giambi is having to play first. My prediction is going to come true. Oh joy.

Anderson was perfect into the seventh and the A's still lost. No one wants Holliday or Cabrera, the team is awful, and there is no good news about a new stadium. So i'm bringing out a hopefully good luck avatar... They are getting healthy for what it's worth.

definitely got lucky last night. erased a 10 run deficit, Holliday went yard twice, including a grand slam, and the tying run clearly crossed the plate before Wuertz got the tag in, but that's not what the umpire saw... Go A's.

So long Mr. Giambi. For what it's worth, I'm doing everything I can to block this year from my memory, so I'm really only going to remember you from your glory days and the bolting fiasco where you lied.

8 days into May and my A's are .500 and somehow only a game back in the West. As always, half the team is on the DL: Anderson, Duke, Ellis, Buck, Devine, Crisp, Suzuki, the list goes on and on!!!! things are surely to go downhill soon...

Not bad considering Ben Sheets has been miserable.

Maybe you jinxed it! Sheets had all kinds of command last night, allowing only two runs in 6+ innings against the best team baseball. Will it continue, or was this just an accident?

He certainly has the talent to keep it up.

We will have to see.

not saying, just saying.... PERFECTION!

very funny... but a. the game was over, and b. pitchers don't care if their teammates come to the mound...

i know, but while i was never specifically told the rule, i always knew you didn't cross the diamond like A-Rod did. I definitely wouldn't have gone over the pitcher's mound. It's annoying too, because Braden keeps trying to play it off and the press won't let it die, but so many were dissing Braden before..

according to one article i read, supposedly Burnett was watching the press conference and said something along the lines of Braden's grandma better not step on his mound. That would be hilarious if he really said that.

I pitched and never had anyone cross the mound on me. I wouldn't have liked it either.

However, Braden went about it the wrong way and made a debacle out of something that could have been squashed with a well-placed fastball.

Hats off to Braden today, thank God the game wasnt on TV or i would have had to test out my warranty limitations on my flatscreen.

Chavvy has more back problems, this time two bulging discs in his neck and it appears his career may be over. There wasn't a better defensive 3B around and his bat was always solid, but the latter half of his career was just destroyed by inuries.

It was like 1990 all over again.

My A's were competitive for over two months, that's abut 55 days more than I expected.

Those throwback unis today looked like they would glow in the dark.

my a's actually finished .500. I honestly consider that a successful season. If we can find two solid hitters (at least one with power), the A's won't just be good, they will be really good. Cahill, Anderson, Gonzalez and Braden form a very formidable starting rotation and Bailey is a fantastic closer.

Mazzaro's good too. A little more offense will have them in the West race next year.

Too bad they have nothing in the system. Carter and Taylor really did a number on their prospect status.

Although Grant Green could be a stud.
