He needs to come play for our team, he’ll get used to losing. My son’s looking forward to the first win. I refuse to concede that it’s due to coaching….We lost tonight and my son had 2 errors that might have sealed the deal. He was crying when we walked off the field. I said, honey, this is baseball. You gotta put it behind you and come back for more. You’ve won way more for your team then you’ll ever lose, but you will lose.
You are entitled to a wrong opinion. It was the bottom of the 9th inning and two outs. ANY run ends the game. A strike out ends the inning. Pitchers in that situation aren't worried about a runner advancing, They just aren't because they are literally just 3 pitches away from the inning to be over. Whether there is one person or 3 people on the bases, at the bottom of the last inning, the ONLY thing that matters is getting the guy to get out and to avoid as much entropy as possible, that's going to come by strikeout
To your point. You damn sure don’t want a man in scoring position. WTFIt was the bottom of the 9th inning and two outs. ANY run ends the game. A strike out ends the inning. We’ve been the most dominant team in the league all season and have 4 losses. I think CTV has earned the right to experiment a little, against a team that we SHOULD beat. It’s not “pitching” over to first. It’s a pickoff move. It’s designed to keep the runner close so he doesn’t steal 2nd, get in scoring position, then score on a single, which would lose the game at this point.
That said, I sure wish our coach knew as much about baseball as you do. We’d never lose!
Ooof, that’s tough. We have a bunch of young players this year. It’s not been one of my favorites. And there’s only so much you can say to get them to play, especially with these younger generations of iPads and indoor kids.He needs to come play for our team, he’ll get used to losing. My son’s looking forward to the first win.
