The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Nope.
People who accidentally pulled the trigger and not always with their fingers.
Picking it up after a drop, catching it as it falls or snagging it on something.
Had a guy at work that shot himself in the hand and leg trying to catch his pistol falling out of the truck a couple months ago. It could’ve been a lot worse. He’s blessed

I know you can get a p365 xl with a thumb safety. I assume you can get one on the regular 365 too

I noted that in the last sentence and was stating they make one with no safety at all and that’s all they had when I was looking.

Is that a derringer holster?
Belt Slide Holsters

you may have already known as much and were asking whether the user had the wrong model for that pistol, in which case I don't know. it's clear from the photo that the leather was not rigid enough. that, or the user exerted significant effort to jam the pistol in the sleeve at an angle. either way, this does not look like the gun's fault although a thumb safety would have prevented this.

I'm contemplating a purchase. I've got a large frame 45ACP that's not really practical to conceal carry, especially without a jacket. I'd like to stay in the .45. I have other guns I could carry in .40SW and .380 but I'd like something else. I've looked at the beretta px45 but I can't find one to put my hands on. It may be too large for IWB carry. I went to a local shop today and they had a used S&W MP45 in very good condition. They were asking $499 but said they'd take $479. $479 is where they go for new. This one did have a few extra mags and a laser made specifically for the shield and it integrated perfectly in front of the trigger guard. That being said I don't really care about the laser.

Thoughts?

The extras are a plus. I’d be a buyer.

Just my opinion, but firearms aren’t really selling for less than people paid for them right now (for the most part)…..this one seems to have a decent $$ value in extras……..if you like the M&P, and it fits you well……go back and get it before it’s gone.

for me the M&P is on the plane as the Glock…….everyone should own at least 1 between the two brands of them.

I prefer SA/DA semis but this would probably do the trick. I love my FN FX45 but it's too bulky for everyday carry. I do own a Glock in 40.

If your a single/double kind of guy the Springfield xd-e 3.3” is a good carry option for those wanting to carry 45 acp.

It’s certainly smaller than the M&P……but it’s 45, it’s single double, and it’s easy to carry……with years in the market.

If your not keen on a “smaller” carry option, the Beretta PX4 Storm full is a good option if you can find one.

About the size of a 4.5” M&P, it’s double/single, and comes in 45. Ugly as heck, but good shooters. They seem to be hard to find in 45.
