The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

I had a Kahr where the magazine release was situated in such a way that under recoil I could pop the mag. Not all the time but not something I could live with in a possible carry weapon.

I had one of the P40s that would do the same thing. But my P9 doesn't. Might have been a recoil thing as that .40 was a handful.

Mine was a P40 also, which is a snappy little rascal being so light in that caliber. I'd heard that an upgraded spring would help, and perhaps that's true, but I'm rather paranoid about something I might be staking my life on.

I dropped to the 9mm, just because I was consolidating calibers and was getting rid of everything I owned in .40.

I'd give the P9 or CW9 a try if you liked the platform. (It's what's inside my desk at the moment)

Here's my daughter's target, she's 7...and shot the S&W 622

I think she did awesome....on the second magazine she was aiming for the eyeball and put one in there. When she hit it the guy in the lane next to us (he was blasting away with a .45) but stepped over and watched her, and gave her a big high five...She was pumped

we're going back today with my son, sister and brother-in-law, but my son (9) isn't as excited..

IME girls take to shooting naturally. My daughter and niece both are naturals.

You have what you have, you never know what you might need. An M1A1 might come in handy one day.

Got it covered...

My son didn't want to shoot, so he hung out in the lobby, as we rotated through 2 lanes

Have a mentioned what a fantastic job Ruger did with the LC9-S?

I hated the LC9. But they got the LC9S right. Great pistol.

Just bought my first SIG. P250. They are running a special with it where you can get a case, extra clip, tactical light and laser, lock, holster for $590 plus get $50 mail-in rebate. You can get it in either 9MM or 40SW.

Finally picked up a Walther pps today. I've been wanting one for quite some time. Haven't shot it yet. Thinking of daily carry, once I put it through its paces.

I have a 250 in .45. Bought it from a buddy who needed money for $300 to help him out and told him I'd sell it back to him for what I paid for it. I wish he would buy it back. One of the longest trigger pulls I've ever seen.

Congrats! SIG makes some nice ones. Just in case you're interested in upgrading it...

SIG Sauer Pistols > Grayguns by Bruce Gray

They do excellent work and turned my 229 into the best handgun in my collection. No complaints.

Similar to my experience with that gun.

I'm looking into to a PPS now...

You just have to get used to a long trigger pull. It is double action only and safer- that is why I get them. I have both long and short trigger pull guns and shoot either accurately. The P250 is very accurate.
