The Official #4 Tennessee @ Arkansas Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

You really need to take your Orange glasses off. I am not on a ledge. Just calling it like I see it. When has playing at home ever mattered against UF? The blueprint to shut us down is out there. UF has the athletes to shut us down.
Lol. We will hang 35+ points on Florida. $50 to your charity of choice if not.

Wouldn’t all on Nico or the coaches. The 15 yd penalty on the punt was a killer! Both lines got whipped. The receivers didn’t do much getting separation. The false starts, they just played like s***! Feels like it now but the season ain’t over!

The kid had a bad game. They all do. Even Peyton the great. The key is how he plays in the next one
Gimme a break, he looked like a deer in the headlights all night long. There were broken plays where he could have easily picked up 7 or 8 yards on a run, but he wouldn't commit. This is the big dog's club, fish or cut bait.

I was talking s*** about USCjr’s garbage qb earlier today about holding the ball and being scared to throw. I think Nico is worse. He has the throwing yips or something. Sometimes you just have to make tough throws or give guys a chance to make a play. He’s a huge disappointment to say the least.

I don’t know what the deal is, but something is in his head. Watch him stare down receivers and dance the entire time. It’s almost like he’s afraid to go to the second or third options, and when the first option isn’t there, he takes off or takes a sack.

I think he will get there. The talent is undeniable. But I feel like he’s in his head and the playbook has mysteriously disappeared into this vanilla ice cream cone iteration that we see today.

Well, he did the same vs OU and got away with it.

You learn stuff about your coach as you get more years with them. Heupel is great when his offense is clicking and that's why we could run it up on lesser talent.

When the talent is equal or nearly equal or greater, Heupel doesn't seem to have anything but a very poor ball control offensive strategy when he gets a lead on a good team.

This isn't a personnel problem. This is a coaching philosophy problem.
I said after the Oklahoma game that even if Heupel loses us a game with dumb decisions, I'm sold on him , and that hasn't changed. This loss was as much if not more on him than anyone else , because he choked. The pressure of being highly ranked and having suspect play at qb and Oline got to him and he coached scared and prayed things would just work out I guess. It got him beat , so now I'm interested to see if he changes his tendencies, knowing that fate is not gonna bail him out. If he's smart , he'll shake off that fear of losing **** and coach to win . I still have faith in this team and staff , but they know what they have now and can't go into turtle mode hoping for breaks to go their way.

Like I said in the Kent State thread....Onside Kicking up 30 in the FIRST QUARTER (against a team who lost 13 straight games against D-I competition) will usually come back and bite you. And it did.

Hate me if you want. And of course there is way more to it than that...but football karma is a funny thing. Literally the moment we did that I knew an inexcusable (South Carolina/Arkansas type) loss was coming this year. And here we are.

With that said...we still have an excellent shot at the playoff...if we can get it together and take care of business from here out.

How do we not feel despondent after this? I really want to know. I’ve seen people say at least we saw Bama lose too but they lost a shootout, our rocket powered offense looked anemic and ineffective. I have nothing positive from today and I’m pretty sure we’re in for more pain this season. I just don’t see anything but the cliff and I can’t back away.

Who could've predicted the offense looks like straight trash? We appear to have some big problems.
