The Official #4 Tennessee @ Arkansas Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

Sampson out here taking a beating and still getting his numbers. The OLine needs to really look in the mirror and determine if they want to protect this man; or let the next man up take the field.

I said after the Oklahoma game that even if Heupel loses us a game with dumb decisions, I'm sold on him , and that hasn't changed. This loss was as much if not more on him than anyone else , because he choked. The pressure of being highly ranked and having suspect play at qb and Oline got to him and he coached scared and prayed things would just work out I guess. It got him beat , so now I'm interested to see if he changes his tendencies, knowing that fate is not gonna bail him out. If he's smart , he'll shake off that fear of losing **** and coach to win . I still have faith in this team and staff , but they know what they have now and can't go into turtle mode hoping for breaks to go their way.
It will be interesting to see if Coach Heupel does evolve. If not, he'll not stay in the SEC, IMO.

Arky and OU used a lot of variations of a 3-3-5, I think, to keep our offense pretty contained. If the SEC coordinators have "cracked the code" on the Josh Heupel offense he's going to have to have better secondary play calling options than we've seen in the last 2 games.

Florida, Bama, and Georgia are going to go over the film of this game and the OU game VERY VERY carefully to see what stopped our offense.

It won't be the last time UT sees it.

This is true. Remember the special teams ran into the punter which kept a drive alive. Then our defense didn't stop them and Arky got 3 out of it.
Exactly, great learning lesson today. Heupel needs to rally the guys to clean up all the worthless unnecessary penalties, and play better. Still alot of ball left to play, and the SEC is still wide open considering all the top teams have a loss now besides Texas

Nico will grow from this. He will filter out the negativity from the fans and media. We will still have a shot at the playoffs. Our defense will give us a chance. Next Saturday night we will all be singing a different song of joy and happiness. We got beat on the road in the SEC. It happens whether we think they are good or not. It’s college football nor the NFL.

So fans should just not be critical because it could’ve been Vandy instead? I’ll say it again. If you are going to get upset at fans criticizing the game, heupels playcalling, Nicos play, etc. Then you should just log off. Because there is plenty of legitimate criticism
Coaching deserving all the criticism. A complete moron would try to defend that garbage.

Then take a deep breath, log off, and get some sleep, bud. Wipe off the ol orange-tinted shades tomorrow morning, for tomorrow is a new day.
My glasses are fine. If the Negas are going to come out in force, I will call all of them out. Thanks for your concern, bud.

Nope, Tennessee just blew a 14-3 lead, against a mediocre SEC team on the road, in what should have been a very winnable game to continue to lay the foundation for a special season, obviously not happening with this team as shown tonight, Heuple looked like Foolmer out there tonight, taking the air off the ball, zero offensive big play threats, the same dysfunction that presented itself against South Carolina two years ago showed up again tonight, coming out of an off week, not sure why this complete breakdown occurs on the road in significant games, but it

The running into the punter changed everything in this game. No way you can even get close to the punter in that situation. We were in control to that point.
Yeh no reason to even rush the punter at that point in the game. No reason to risk what happened, happening.

How does this keep happening? The last 3 seasons we either win or look horrible losing. We do not lose close, hard fought games. I know the score of this game was close, but we were outplayed the entire game except briefly in the 3rd quarter.
