The Official Braves Thread Of Volnation

What a coincidence in the score in the games involving both DC teams yesterday. Nats lost 9-7 to Atlanta and the Redskins beat Chicago 9-7.

Andruw Jones for MVP! :good:

Isn't this the way the rest of the NL East should be doing now? :mf_surrender:

Braves biggest problem in making it through the playoffs is the bullpen.

50 thats a lot
MVP right :superman:
well some still think its BIG AL, but not me
look at the way Andruw has led the braves
by the way we have to look over our shoulder there is still around 15 games left(ya never know)
by the way who saw that one guy fall after a home run last night

i could not spell BIG AL's real nome but i think you know who i'm talkin'bout right oh yeah MVP!MVP!10-4 :superman:

Losing two of three to the Mets doesn't cut it! Mike Hampton is out, as everyone knows, with elbow problems through the end of next season.

4 runs in the 8th and Farnsworth throwing gas in the 9th . . . I love it!

How about that comeback in the 8th against the Marlins! :eek:k: About time the offense showed up! BRAVES WIN! BRAVES WIN! 4-3!

MAGIC NUMBER IS 2 where do you think they will put the 2005 NL east champions sign there out of room :run:

I'm just hoping that the Phillies win the Wild Card so that we'll get San Diego in the playoffs instead of Houston.

I don't think anybody wants to face Clemens, Pettite and Oswalt in a short series.

Hey, it's post season yet again. Let's all pick which round the Braves will loose in this year.

I say first series.

admitting I was wrong in saying the Braves dynasty was coolin off or dying. What JS and CBC have done is awesome...15 years of division domination through an apparently bottomless farm system. Bobby Cox may well be the most underatted dugout administrator ever.

Phils, San Diego or Houston will be tough. Braves haven't done well against the Phillies or San Diego this season. Braves need a "hot streak" to start now and continue for at least a dozen games. :dance2:
Guess I'd rather face San Diego rather than Philly or Houston.
Irregardless of who wins, I foresee the Cards in the World Series.

Perhaps Francouer and McCann will breath new life into the playoffs. Seems as though Smoltz has been the only hungry Brave in the post season. Oh oh oh a oh oh oh a oh a oh oh oh!!

Phillies just lost, so the Atlanta Braves just clinched their 14th straight division title. Whatever you think about their postseason record . . . it is still one of the most incredible runs in professional sports history.

man-o-man we got to face pettite, clemens and the ROY OSWALT to start our play-offs, but i think we can handle it don't forget we have JOHN SMOLTZ, HUDDY, and then I think JORGE SOSA, i think we got it in the books :good:

Hope you're right! :eek:k: Braves took season series 5-1, but that doesn't mean "diddly squat" now. Braves need to take first two.

Well....they lost the first game 10-5. They tried to rally back in the 9th, but by then it was too late. *sigh*

GO BRAVES !!!

if only if only julio(47 years old) would have streched this game might have went the braves way. hey thats the past we should never give up lets look forward to tonight smoltzee against the rocket dont forget that clemens has struggled here lately

Braves bullpen just coughed up a 6-1 lead and put it in extra innings. How can a group of pitchers collectively be that bad?!

I had a feeling the pen would cost us, but I thought it would be the middle relief. I had high hopes for Farnsworth. Hopefully Rietsma can get us out of this mess.

what a bad call
julio had the toe of his cleat on the bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
adam should have never been put of the game anyway
oh yeah :realmad: i got sick after that game

After 15 years of continuity in the dugout . . . Leo Mazzone is leaving. This could be a major chink in the armor.
