That, even more than our pitching, has been my biggest disappointment. Just very inconsistent defense and the mistakes are something we don't have the talent or pitching to overcome. Gonna keep losing to better teams until we clean things up. Not sure what it's gonna take.

Last year taught me that all you gotta do is make it to the postseason, then be healthy and hot at the right time. Not worried, but I was hopeful we'd keep up last year's regular season success with the returning pitching.

Most teams that win titles are national seeds. Ole Miss was an exception, not the rule
