I'm not sure I've had any good BBQ that wasn't smoked, whether over mesquite, hickory, or pecan.

Possible exception: The East Carolina BBQ sauce is so robust and piquant, I'm not sure if what I've had was smoked or not. Used to get it from a former Smiley's gas station on an exit off of I-81N in southern Virginia, IIRC.

With the loss on Sunday, in my mind, we no longer have any realistic chance of hosting a regional.

The only path might be winning the SEC Tournament.

Past committees have seemingly made hosting decisions prior to conference tournament. Which is likely the right thing to do since the tourneys are really an annoyance for top teams who try to keep their rotations in place before NCAA play.

The biggest problem facing Tennessee now with hosting is the sudden rise of Auburn and Alabama who are not better teams but have higher RPI.

I don't think Tennessee can sweep South Carolina. But if they did, they would host

First goal should be making the NCAA tournament. Hosting is a second goal. Sweep South Carolina and both probably happen. Lose the series probably not. Lose 1 but win the series it is a maybe to the second depending on what other teams do.

Carolina isn’t exactly known for having top-notch ground crews.
Remember the playing surface in W-B last fall, with the sand and roots.
One year when I was a kid, they tried to spray their football field with this green dye to make it look good for homecoming. It started raining and players on both teams, as well as the homecoming court, were all green because it splashed on their clothes.
As I recall, it was an improvement of sorts for the homecoming court 😂
