Similar, but standardizing the blue makes a big difference. The dark blue center with light blue flames is what made it look like a thumbtack

Thats fair. Again, it could be the lighting but that is more interesting to me is the steel gray around the edges.

That’s a big improvement over our current logo IMO

Eh, doesn't do a lot to me.

It's going to be disappointing if this just turns out we're trading Titan blue and navy blue for a more royal blue and white for silver. I'm ok with getting rid of navy because I think next to black that's the most overrused color, but I liked Titan blue because it was pretty unique and was a good link back to the original Oiler look.

Plus that logo is still inferior to the secondary sword logo.

I always presumed the shape of the T in the middle was why people - especially those from opposing teams who were just looking to upset someone “for the lolz” - called it a thumbtack.

That logo is incredibly popular and has been. Ridiculous that it isn't already the primary logo.

We'll see how it plays out on the field, but I'm a big fan of the no-nonsense directness of both Vrabel and Pruitt. Very refreshing after some of the coaches we've had in the past.

Heard on NFL Live the Titans are after Jarvis Landry, I seen a post in this thread about possibly bringing in Butler and a mock draft that they would get Ronald Jones from USC.

If they hit on that tri-fecta I would be very optimistic about this teams future. I still wish Mariotta had some more accuracy on his fast ball, I don't know if that can be improved.

Landry got the dreadful tag.

lol. I guess just being the Jags. Trent Dilfering their O.

Unfortunately their offense looks better than ours with the exception of the OL. I’d take Robinson over any of our WR’s and Hurns and Matthews would be a toss up. We’ve got them beat at TE, but I’d take fournette over Henry. Bortles and Mariota is also a toss up.

IMO (mostly agreeing):

Robinson > Matthews > Lee > Hurns
Fournette > Henry
Mariota > Bortles
Titans OL > Jags OL

I'd rather have the advantage at QB and OL than RB and WR, though.

Agree. Bortles does not throw receivers open, I mean at all. He is real inconsistent at hitting windows. His footwork is not good for a pro QB. Somebody may get through to him eventually, but he will never pick a team up on his shoulders and carry them.

MM already has done that before. He is light years ahead. He just needs a passing scheme that actually works and the ability to get in sync with his receivers. People forget that he is throwing to several inexperienced guys. They are talented, but have been injured and trying to figure it all out as rookies and second year guys. Even Decker was new to MM. Coninuity and a better scheme will help him immensely. Bortles - not so much. He's got a lot of personal development stuff to get done.

Thoughts on Jarvis Landry? Saw an article that said we are one of his preferred landing spots but so far we haven't had any contact with Miami. It went on to say he is wanting a $58 million/4 year deal with his new team.
