These comments are right. You have to be at the softball game. You committed to coaching, what does it teach your daughter if you fail to live up to your commitments?

Now, if, as coach, you happen to get thrown out of the game in the 2d inning while arguing calls and you have to retreat to the parking lot where you can live stream the CWS? Well, sometimes as a coach you have to stand up for your players and take a toss for the team, you know?

Do what is right.
I can’t tell you how much I love this post! Well done!

I knew this day would come. Coach Vitello has been on a mission for his tenure. I am excited but not over confident.

Texas A&M is a very good team. They were ranked number 1 by D1 Baseball for several weeks (from April 15 until May 6) until we replaced them. In my opinion the two best teams in 2024 have made the championship series.

Our BA and ERA (overall and conference only) is better albeit slightly. Injuries are part of the game but A&M has lost two key players the last few weeks.

I expect every game to be close and hard fought. But I want us to win this championship and establish Tennessee as the best program in D1 baseball. Our time is now!

I’m a little surprised they are going with Prager game 1. He’s a good one. Really glad we’ve seen and had success against an abnormal number of lefties this CWS. We’ll be ready!
I find it intriguing that everyone was saying Arnold would be the best pitcher we face, now it’s Prager. Constantly moving the goal-posts.

There are no goal-posts in baseball.

Tennessee baseball could win it all. With no goalposts to tear down, how do we celebrate?

I started out the Regionals saying “just get to Omaha”.

We get to Omaha and I’m saying “just make it to the third game”

Now we make the finals, and as amazing of an accomplishment as that is in itself, I’m saying just win the whole thing.

I was a freshman when we played FSU for the natty in football. I was excited and nervous, but this surpasses that feeling. Maybe it’s some age and experience, but mostly I think it’s these guy and our coach that have brought swagger and some pride back to athletics. Not to take anything away from the other sports at all - love them all - but there’s something about this team that personifies what we are as a University and what we can be in all aspects.
