The Officiating Thread - UGA

So how many bad call are going to help Georgia pull out the win to help the national media agenda?
Also…

*Ga Oline block in back vs. Pearce in our red zone - rediculous no-call…
*2x they hit us well OOB - 1x on Nico - both late hits…
*hit on our WR on a ball overthrown by 10 ft overhead - easy personal Foul Targeting no call.

And all the others mentioned.. was a complete hose-job.. we get most Of these calls and this is a Much much closer game imo….a winnable game imo…

But aside from the very crooked Refs, we got out-coached as well in Qu 2-4..

Sure they do. That’s clearly happening.
Our D line wasn’t allowed to shift. We got called for a delay of game or some bs recently but they can do it all game. The fair catch by a blocker last year during a kickoff. Not giving us time to get off the field but allowing everyone else to milk it. That’s just banking a few It is quite obvious.

Our DL got zero pressure on the QB. That’s not officiating. TEs and WRs making big plays for UGA isn’t on officiating. Our anemic offense wasn’t on officiating. Halze and Banks getting schooled wasnt on officiating.

I think it was a predetermined outcome. And the refs made sure of it. They needed UGA in the playoffs. They have respect nationwide. UT does not. It's a fluke to the media we're this highly rated & ahead of not only UGA & BAMA but the SEC. Not our best game tonite and seeing we were playing UGA & the refs had to demoralize them in the 2nd half. We can only keep playing our game and make sure the Vandy game, in Nashville, we whip em! Don't forget UTEP next wk either!!

Georgia only made a comeback against Alabama because the refs changed sides in the second half. That game and the TN game are the two ugliest contests from the SEC all year.

Kirby Smart doesn’t have anyone who can develop the QB position, so the refs have to keep the bulldogs afloat. He doesn’t have a fifth year Rudy like Stetson Bennett coming to make Georgia relevant again.

That botched handoff and the coughed up reception were fumbles. Georgia scored both times when we should have been given possession on their side of the field.

Smart doesn't need anyone to develop a QB when Tennessee's defense does it for him.

We did plenty to lose this game but we were never given a fair shake. Refs made whatever calls the needed to making sure the momentum never turned against Georgia. We were never going to win with the defensive plan we had but at least this is a close game and a good game as well. Bad officiating ruined the game.

As much money as the conference makes now there’s zero reason why officiating should be this poor. Felt like it helped Georgia tonight but it will bite them too in the future. No one benefits long term from this kind of performance by the refs.

While I do agree that there did seem to be more calls that went the Bulldogs way, I think overall they proved to be the superior team. Carson Beck was on point. The receivers caught when they needed to and Kirby coached the smart game.

The 12 men on the field is reviewable and I think it was called because the defender was taking his time then sprinted. Kirby asked for the review

The facemask call. Had his helmet not come off, it's never called and I didn't see anything abnormal about the play other than his helmet coming off which looked like it just slipped off.

The completion/ fumble on the pass across the middle, it was rule immediately and incomplete pass. I think that was the correct call. I don't think the "fix" was in on that one given how quickly the call was made.

The face mask call was horrendous. Even the announcers were trying to make it seem like it was a legitimate call. He may have gotten his hand under the helmet. Come on.....that was not a face mask. The helmet was already loose. RG didn't pull it off.

You are correct on these things. I don’t think anyone on here is saying that we played great, but to say that bad officiating didn’t also contribute to this loss is ridiculous.
