I have nothing to back this up on, but it seems like the prospects that have an advanced feel for the strike zone have a much easier time adjusting to the big leagues. Guys like Bruce and Heyward who tore up the minors but always struck out a lot seem to always have some fairly severe growing pains.I am a fan of Alonso's plate approach

I really wish someone in the front office would tune in to reality and trade Jay Bruce while there are still people out there who think he's something more than the bastard child of Austin Kearns and Adam Dunn.
