The Runner's thread

That hill was a *****. It was also embarrassing the arena was filled with Blues fans.

The theory was they appeared to be in large numbers since it was Broadway, but that was not the case in Bridgestone. Preds fans were nowhere to be seen this weekend.

Several VolNationers went. We all left by the first intermission.

1.2 miles. 12:50. Just tried to open my legs again after a 36 mile gravel bike race yesterday laid waste to them.

Been dealing with some difficult personal issues and haven't had the will to run. Finally got up and jogged 3.8 miles today.

I think that makes 54 miles for March.

After two weeks of work getting in the way and wedding festivities I was able to get back at it tonight. 3 miles 7:38 average pace.

Thanks Orange. I hope so too.

Once I get my hydration and nutrition back on track I want to lose myself in running. I really need to do so.

Hope things get better soon, Nerd. Understand about losing yourself in running; it can be extremely therapeutic.

Sorry to hear that. Prayers for renewed strength and healing in whatever issues you are dealing with.

That's great to hear.

Going to take it easy this week, as I rest the legs for a little snowboard action.

Going to sign up for my first race soon. Should I go 5k or 10k? It's a trail race on trails that I mountain bike fairly often so I know them like the back of my hand. The 5k is relatively flat, whereas the 10k adds a lot of climbing and some steep. I'm sure I canfinish either. Leaning towards the 10k hust to say I did the 10k...

3.5 tonight at 7:48 average pace. Feels good to get back into a routine. I need to try and catch up from what I missed the previous two weeks.

Given you haven't been running long and most of your runs involve alcohol, I'd suggest 5k. You can complete the 10k but you might end up walking parts of it.

3.6 tonight. Weather was almost perfect for a run. Average pace 7:41. I started working out my core again and can already tell a difference in my pace and over feel during and after runs. It's pretty crazy actually.

3.6 tonight. 9:10 pace. Was the first one back. Copious amounts of alcohol consumed. Will consider the 5k instead of 10k.
