The Runner's thread

5 miles on the nose through downtown JC. Love being on leave and running through some of my old routes. Wasn't a bright idea to procrastinate all morning and run at midday though. It was slow with a short walk break after mile 3. Soooo muuugggggggggggyyyyyyyy.

95° with 80% humidity. I said screw it. It just rained for literally 45 seconds.

Realize it's not just Asics. It's a specific model Asics most likely. And then, Asics have changed a lot of the setups on their models so check that too.

Typically, each manufacturer makes models for all foot types. Just do some research all around is what I'm trying to get at.

Well... After tonight's run I am not convinced it's the shoes anymore. My foot is killing.

3.? relatively quickly for me.

3 miles yesterday afternoon. That was not a wise decision to make. Waaay too hot. I'm gonna try and wait a little later and see if I can actually make it today.

Can't speak for the Noog, but for Fort Bragg and now Johnson City, the answer is getting up early and doing it. It just doesn't cool down enough until 10ish at night, and that's if you're lucky.

I ran the river walk yesterday and I thought the wind off the river would help but it did not. I would get up early and go but I have to be at work at 715 and that puts me getting up around five to get a run in and I just don't think I could do that everyday.

Snuck out the back door at work and ran 3 miles just after 10. Heat took it's toll on my pace. I believe it was 9:06avg pace with my 1st mile at 8:40. I know I had plenty of work to do so I didnt' push when I felt myself slowing down.

If I run/workout before work it's easier. I tend to make excuses in the afternoons, especially when it's hot as heck.

Finished Peachtree Road Race 10k in 58:31. My goal was under an hour since my last time was 1:03. I'm pretty happy with it.

Happy Independence Day everyone.

Most likely heading up to Baraboo, WI for a 10k trail run and then crew for friends doing the 50k and 50 mile runs. Should be fun.

Haven't been able to run or even work out the past month or so. Finally got into a gym today and was able to pull 5k in 29 minutes. Kinda surprised

Officially registered for the 10K at Devil's Lake in Baraboo, WI this Saturday. The 10k is supposed to be more difficult than the half marathon, because of the varied technical terrain, often on double black diamond trails. I may be in over my head.
